DJI Fly - App updates and download links

Had my first real glitch with the iOS app yesterday with an iPhone 12 Pro. The on screen video footage went very pixelated. And remained so on the phone in the gallery. SD card footage was fine though. Hopefully a one off. Just made flying a bit weird.

Looks like there’s a new version of DJI Fly available - 1.4.12 - currently Android only. DJI Download page states 1.4.8 but it actually takes you to 1.4.12. Understand there are already some issues being reported - so please be careful.
Guess the iOS version will be issued shortly :man_shrugging: - another piece of DJI magic …… Autel Nano is starting to look good

iOS verion hasn’t been updated in yonks, but then, it’s not exactly broke either. What’s in the release notes for the new Android release? Just more bug fixes? It’s harder with Android as theres so many different makes and models and screen sizes etc. Apple it’s a bit easier as the hardware is mostly the same.

Hang on a mo, I’ll go check the Google Play Store details.

Oh.

Wait…

:grimacing:

Live stream stuff looks like you can stream to your own server.

rest is self explanatory.

Top job @firstadekit

GavinHR reporting an issue with the compass…

Seen a couple of videos now that show the compass feature is all over the place :man_shrugging:

Believe this is the Android version - not seen the iOS version yet

I think I’ll stay on 1.4.8(477) for iOS for the time being…

1.4.8 1185 does it for me, no problems at all.

I couldn’t resist trying the latest version 1.4.12 and the new feature

Live Streaming platforms

This is the link, does it work? I am in the kitchen testing it :grinning: let me know

Yeah working fine :+1:t2:

This is another one with no breaks, if I have time tomorrow and the weather is ok I will try a flight and live stream it

Got tempted by new version too, streaming works pretty nicely. However the compass is completely broken, I’m not really sure how they missed that

In addition to the compass issue there are also reports that the flight log data files have been located elsewhere in the app. Not sure if this affects other apps - I’m thinking of Air Data and if it will prevent the upload of flight data. I use the Air Data app and find it very useful - so another reason for me to delay ā€œupgradingā€ to 1.4.12. Fortunately, it still doesn’t seem to be available for iOS.

Tried 1.4.12 this morning, after a very quick crash, didn’t crash again in about 40 minutes flying. Compass is screwed and Airdata says no data to sync. No doubt an Airdata upgrade will be along soon.

Update, took a 360 this morning and some quickshots, quickshots are there but it’s warning it’s only got the lo-res and I’d best download the original from the drone (SD card).

The 360 is nowhere to be seen in the album, my usual way of downloading it and straight up to kuula. The 26 photos are there so need to play with ICE to see if it can create them.

Not sure if this is anything to do with the Airdata issue but they’ve marked all the files below the Fly app folder as hidden. I backup to Onedrive using Onesync and after my first outing with 1.4.12, I noticed it didn’t back up anything from the Fly folder. Never had to change the exclude-hidden option but I changed it not to exclude and I’m watching the Fly folder backing up.

Hi all. With the latest update to the dji fly app having the ability to livestream flights,
Do we know what software or streaming platform we should use?

@SparkyFPV was playing with this last night, I’m sure he’ll be along shortly :+1:t2:
