DJI Fly - App updates and download links

Or more like if you’re paying them for care refresh and replacements they don’t really care. They make money at the end of the day.

I’ve never bothered with extended warranties, especially with DJI products as they become obsolete within a year to 18 months. If I crash one of my models I treat it as a learning experience, then repair it, and hopefully not crash it again.

The DJI Care Refresh thing takes advantage of those that have doubts about their own abilities as Drones these days are relatively crash proof unless you make a very bad judgement call.

Another shocking error caused by the DJI app update, if your drone fly’s ok don’t update it!

Our man Robert @Windswept had a nightmare after updating to version 1.7.0

or check your settings every time.

Or get an iPhone where it’s signed by Apple and just works

You shouldn’t have too! Like I said if its flying good don’t update as DJI will break it

you shouldn’t need to - but I always do after any upgrade - this is as true with my satnav as it is with the drone - force of habit having beta tested for several companies over the years.

I updated mine to this version because I wanted the better pano’s before a trip down sarf, and had seen this video beforehand, so checked my settings after the update. They were fine.

I’m sceptic he just hadn’t changed it back from a previous flight if I’m honest.

I think your right there

That was done by a Firmware update

01.00.0300

What’s New?

  • Added support for using with the DJI RC Pro remote controller (The firmware of DJI RC Pro needs to be updated to v03.01.0900 or later).
  • Increased the camera tilt angle range when shooting in Panorama for better imaging of the sky.
  • Increased the stability of videos when using Hyperlapse.

Robert @Windswept still having issues since he updated the app :scream::scream::scream:

DJI Fly app update released on 09/09/22 (for iOS)

– iOS v1.7.4

Anyone know if the Android version was updated today too? Without an App Store, we have no way of easily knowing unless you check the app itself for internal updates? :person_shrugging:t2:

The official DJI Fly app web site still lists v1.7.0 for iOS (even though it’s on 1.7.4 now) and v1.7.0 for Android

Thanks Wayne!

Usual nonsense - if you click on the v1.7.0 for Android on the DJI app page it actually downloads v1.7.4 - class

I don’t know how they can make such amazing hardware and then be so shit at updating a single line of text on a web page :exploding_head:

They probably outsourced the web updates to some poor, unemployed, “web designer” living in Shoreditch.

Its a gift - unwanted - but its a gift :man_shrugging:   :joy:
