DJI Fly - App updates and download links

Do we have to watch 17 minutes worth of videos to find out what the issues (if any) are or can you guys not just summarise in 10 words or less?

I never watch all of the videos, the summary whether it’s ok to update or not is usually about 2 minutes before the end.

I went out for my first flight since updating last night. The only thing I’ve noticed is that theres a thumbnail image of my flight instead of a little cloud. Maybe it was always there and I’ve changed a setting?

My brother has the Mini 1 and this appeared on his after an update some weeks ago.

It’s always been there, we on Apple devices :+1:t2: on android it’s on or off depending on the fly app version and the device you are using :person_shrugging:

It’s a thumbnail of the images you took on that flight

That makes sense. This was my first hyperlapse video.

Cheers.

It’s only a DJI RC update anyway, not drone firmware

1.9.5 fixes :man_shrugging:

Nearly at ½ GB download size (487.4 MB)

Thanks Wayneo.

I just fired up the M3P, checked for updates, it found one and installed. I’ve rebooted both drone and controller, but still see 1.9.4 - which is odd, because I was on 1.9.4 already.

I can’t see 1.9.5 on the DJI download site either. Do you have a link?

This is DJI remember… Three weeks haven’t passed yet

They always seem to release built-in app updates for their smart controllers (and all CrystalSky editions) significantly later than they do their iOS / Android updates :frowning:

Which I’ve never understood, you’d think they’d prioritise their own hardware first  :person_shrugging:t2:

Have you not learnt  we don’t update till the others have tested :joy:

At this moment only iOS has the update :man_shrugging:

Good point.

That doesn’t bother me. I’ll happily be the guinea pig. I mean … what could possibly go wrong … in storm season during an Atti run on untested firmware

There’s a new fly app, I can’t find it on the download page @ dji

I notice, some of the updates apply to Android or Apple products only, and not the DJI RC controller. I wonder if this is a source of confusion ?
I see in Sparky’s post from 22nd Feb, the IOS version is a different release version from the Android version.
As I only use the DJI RC to control my drone, these updates for IOS and android phones don’t really bother me that much ( although I do use my phone for fast video/ image downloads to the phone)

If it’s not in GavinHR’s Google drive, it doesn’t exist

The DJI RC updates are alway slightly behind plus this update is more aimed at the new FPV gear that is not compatible with the RC

Also it’s also best not to update straightaway, wait for everyone else to find the bugs :ant:

Fly 1.9.8 is for the new Integra Goggles and the RC Motion 2 - if you’ve not got them probably bst to wait to see what cock-ups it introduces as per Wayne’s @SparkyFPV advice :+1: :+1: :+1:
