Apparently there’s a flaw with the 1.9.8 fly app, this link on YouTube, some guy is in Europe CE but his drone is in FCC mode, so I think DJI have pulled the app back …… I tried to copy & paste the link but no joy.
No link as yet I can find on the download centre, but as above it says 1.9.8 at the download but is actually 1.9.9
I won’t be testing

I did look for a thread for my question as I thought I’d even answered my own question before but I can’t find it, so I’m hoping it’s ok to put what I’m looking for on the back of this one,
Am I right in saying the app update for the rc pro will only update if I update my controller, ? Which I don’t want to, I was just checking my controller to make sure auto updates are not on but I can’t seem to find the auto updates on / off toggle, I was hoping some one could point me in the right direction please, sorry this is more of a question but relates to the above update which I don’t want to do or the controller / app starts updating automatically

Under settings do you have the auto firmware download
If not then the only option is to disconnect from the Internet
No it’s not got that option for the rc pro, but as you rightly show it’s on the app on my phone,
I found a toggle check for updates, so I’ve turned that off,
It does come up on the screen there’s updates but I swiped it away,
I’m wondering where I stand with downloading maps via hot spot or download them before I leave home but I’m sure that still requires an internet connection to get the maps either way.

If you know where you’re going to be flying, download the maps at home using wifi, they only take a few seconds for each one

Cheers Kirky, updated the app on my phone. There isn’t any updates showing on the DJI RC controller though ( even though it’s an android device)
