DJI Fly - App updates and download links

I was so confused when it told me the home point was updated but then didn’t ask me to check it on the map.

I’ve been listening to this prompt for the last seven years of my life.

They’ve changed it?!???

Long live our MPs! :+1:

I’d vote Dara Ó Briain for Prime Minister.

But we’re kinda going off topic here

They’ve all been re-recorded! New girl, new lines. She’s a bit more succinct than the old girl.

No more “maximum altitude has been ree-ayshed” ?

(I’m a version behind because I’m waiting for Drone-Hacks to say 1.10.4 is approved and tested)

Just a bit of a heads up about the v1.10.4

There have been some reports that on updating the app to the above latest version but not all, is some have reported maximum altitude to 120m max as suppose to 500m

This is only if you are in the EU and its to do with EASA class ratings :scream:

Matey on the YT video didn’t state that, he just said some reports from his subscribers.
Sorry forgot to add, another YT ber also said the same, but as you said is probably the case EU easa, you know more than me, :+1:t2:

Edit again : they are usually on the ball with there content, that’s all I know hence why that’s all I know

:joy::joy::joy:

I didn’t post the video as I know you enjoy his videos :rofl::rofl: @SparkyFPV wayne :star:

No issues with it on the RC Pro

Its allowable to go higher in EASA in some circumstances too.

Looks like they’ve dried to force C0 standards onto the Mini 3 despite it not actually being C0 and them not even fully understanding the rules themselves.

Strange that would be a software limitation (in which case, just use an older version) as opposed to firmware though.

Ultimately the Mini 3 and so on are likely feature complete at this point so there’s no real reason TO upgrade Fly or Firmware if thats all you fly. Each update runs the risk of restricting it.

Or DJI is about to announce that the Mini 3 is now C0 Classes :scream:

  • Class C0 UAS are equipped with a function that limits the maximum flight altitude to 120 m above the starting point. Although this cannot rule out airspace violations completely, it helps in avoiding unnecessary violations of the provisions relating to maximum flight altitudes and reduces the risk of collision with other aircraft. UAS of classes C1, C2 and C3 allow remote pilots to set a higher limit – e.g., in areas with looser regulations, in model aircraft areas or based on special permits.*

I was wondering the other day, if or maybe DJI would put a restriction on max distance or if it was possible, because of all the hooo arrrr in VLOS ! Just a thought, I guess anything is possible.

Yeah DJI have confirmed the MINI 3 will be C0 classed and thus limiting it to 120m from the take-off point :scream: if flying in the EU

Our DJI Mini 3 Pro has been designed in line with the current draft C0 standards which are due to be finalised in the future. We are currently conducting the certification test under these draft standards and, after being able to obtain the class identification label, will inform customers of how to certify their drone.
At the present time, any drone under 250g is subject to the same rules and regulations regardless of whether or not it holds a class identification label, which is not yet available.
Currently, all DJI drones can be used in the Limited Open Category with certain restrictions until 31 December 2023 and beyond.

If possible with an either yes or no answers, does the above quote mean that, should I buy a Mini 3 pro soon-ish it will have a height restriction of 120m? and, if not, as long as updates are selectively installed in the future that restriction will not be applied?

No, it doesn’t apply to the UK. Only if you fly in the EU with the latest App

Muchas Gracias

Will DJI have separated the UK settings from the EU ones?

No matter, the guys at Drone Hacks will be on the case :+1:t2:
