DJI Mini 3 Pro firmware updates

No its not being…Unless the CAA change their minds :grimacing:

I admire your optimism.

@SparkyFPV DJI updated their site with the PDF, I’ve just added it to your post :+1:t2:

The CAA just seem to be sheep… they will follow whoever is running anywhere… gawd remember last years revision to the CAP 722… how many revisions did they require because they couldn’t proof read their own document and deal with it’s own spelling issues and more importantly contradictions.

Hence I’m “hoping” they are not planning on twiddling the knobs again…

I understand revising things and developing things but there is no need to keep fiddling (other than for satisfying ones own position of being in control and satisfying an ego).

rules to be applied to everything:

  1. KISS = Keep it simple stupid!
  2. don’t fiddle with it if it ain’t broke… or it will be.

Back on topic, phew… at least it seems as though DJI may realize that the UK is not in the EU.

I read about a possible revision to the power outputs that was being considered in the 2.4+5ghz bandwidths that would bring them in line with the FCC (I suspect that the reason is really because that there are so many devices that exceed the UK / EU 2.4 + 5 ghz bandwidth power outputs that they are really unenforcable… hence an acceptance from Ofcom that they need to rise.

I was looking at a comparison between the M3P and the M4P regarding transmission power outputs and I’m not convinced that O4 is really going to be any different (in Europe) to the O3

Its not so much power related - as you go through revisions in protocol its likely they can support higher data rates or work with a lower SNR for the same thing than older versions.
So you could expect a more reliable or further range for the same output power.
Could be a protocol tweak, better signal processing or all of the above.

The jump from Lightbridge to Occusync highlighted this.

Probably already covered but just in case. I kept getting server error when trying to update my mini 3 pro firmware over the weekend via the RC. At first I thought fair enough but going back the following evening and getting the same error.

If you get the problem in the main controls part of the drone, switch out to splash screen and click on profile, and do the firmware update from there. Then seemed to work without issue.

DJI has pushed a new Firmware update but this is not registered anywhere and includes no data to say what it’s for :scream: other than this

I suspect it is relevant to the new Flysafe database that’s just been released and has removed most of the geo-fencing

The fly safe database will also need updating after to version 01.00.01.32

Can one trademark the phrase ‘some known issues’? :joy:

I think DJI have trademarked “some known issues” already. Every update mentions them :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I have the DJI RC controller. No updates for aircraft firmware found, but the Flysafe data has an update.
One problem I’ve had recently is that the controller keeps on telling me that flight record limit has been reached, please upload flight records. I’ve connected the RC to the internet whilst the drone is powered on and connected to the RC. I get a notification that the flight records have been uploaded successfully, but still get this warning that flight record limits have been reached. Anyone got any ideas ?

Had you already updated since 27th of last month perhaps?

Not in a thread about firmware updates, maybe start a new thread in Questions & Answers to get more eyes on it John

Sorry PingSpike :wink::wink:

DJI have just updated their website, and put the old release notes back on for v01.00.0700 from 8th November 2023:

Confirming that v01.00.0800 released on 27th June 2024 was pulled immediately afterwards.

I suspect it, or a further update, will be released soon.
