DJI Mini 3 Pro - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion, reviews

I like that :+1:. I don’t really go for ‘accessories’, only if needed, don’t know whether it’s me being a tight arse or not :joy:, but that looks practical. A case and a kind of sun screen in one. :+1:
Sunny life stuff is normally OK, mass produced but good.
Nice one, thanks for that.

Ps, have a look on aliexpress, they may be half that price :+1:

New firmware update, adds master shots to vertical shooting mode as well as some other small improvements and support for wide angle lens. The fly update enables RemoteID so some people may wish to avoid

DJI RC now supports air 2s !
Watch YT video how too pair your RC there is a certain way it has to be done link in mods topic !

The fly ID seems to be applicable only in the U.S. To be honest , I don’t see any problem with it considering the number of people buying large drones and having no idea about the rules or Operator and Pilot IDs.

In stock, I just order one

Just found a way of battery not overheating while installing the latest updates.

Put a freezer block in a plastic bag and sit drone on top, works great.

It’s insane that people need to do things like this, and pointing fans at them, etc.

Yes it kept the battery temp down to 28 degrees.

With the update that was a while ago, the problem of overheating during firmware update was resolved.
I don’t know why everyone is still doing this?

The stuff you see on forums where people are placing the Mini3 in fridges and freezers while they update absolutely ridiculous.

Have they never heard of condensation?

:man_facepalming:t2:

Because people follow others.

I had zero issues with overheating when updating my Mini 3 at any time. Even when new.

Sorry to disappoint you but it has not been resolved.

I did a firmware update and it kept shutting down on me in the end my summer fan had to come out of the garage to blast the bird so I could complete the updates on bird batteries and controller. :+1:

Yes, @SparkyFPV posted the link yesterday so I went online and ordered one.

Just updated mine. No overheating problems. Then I’ve never had any problems with previous updates.

Same here, my new Mini 3 came yesterday and it constantly failed on the update and the battery went into protection mode with the centre 2 LEDs flashing :scream:

I even had a fan underneath it

Waited for it to cool down, tried again with the other batteries and it was fine :man_shrugging:

Then inserted the battery with the flashing 2 centre LEDs, which came up with a battery communication error :scream:

Ran the check firmware again and the battery updated and is working fine

No issues updating here (never have).
Most important changes are now shutter and iso priority modes for pro meaning useful 180 rule shots are possible.

Also introduction of sharpness and noise reduction controls so you can reduce the sharpness (it over sharpens by default) and noise reduction (too much by default).

These 2 features make it a very very useful update.

I’m off to the US this weekend, and I am going to grab one of the extended batteries.

If someone is interested, I’m happy to pick up a second one. No scalpers prices here, but It’s still about £90 and there’s no guarantee I can get one. Won’t make you pay upfront or anything but be good to have some level of commitment.
