Twatish comment now, you know the WiFi is now defaulted to Off?

Yes thanks I do, made me chuckle though so thanks for that. IMU calibration isn’t working gets stuck at 95% then the drone overheats. Some weird stuff though as I said it thought it was in China after the reset.
Maps just won’t show, not even really low res, just shows an off white space.
Mines fine . Up to 1200m. No issues behind stuff either.
What good eyes you have grandma ;o)
Fridge here we come…
Best not say how far I got today, Vast improvement… Worth buying now.
Like a shit house rat:grin:. Or even Steve Austin. I blow that 4-500m estimation away with the bins I’m wearing…
So how far did you get?
You might laugh, I was thinking of aiming a fan at it but you know with the price of electricity these days…
Got the IMU calibration done, helps if you look at the picture as well as reading the text. Anyway didn’t make any difference to the map problem.
No drone police here
That’s why IMU calibration is to be avoided, stress or what… Reading and trying to be exact with orientation and on countdown. My original Mavic pro 2017 had all manner of odd behaviour, too long to list… It all came down to MY bad compass calibration on the Drone. A simple thing but triple check. Try reading the Long and Latitude on find my drone
Very True
Yes it is off by a long way. Think its going to have to go back to DJI, seems beyond my abilities to sort it.
Spoke to DJI about the Chinese under USB mode and it seems that they already know about it as they said:
Regarding the interface bug with Chinese writing, engineers are aware of the error and fix it in the next release. The translation from Chinese means: When aircraft is connected to computer and USB mode is enabled, the image transmission will turn off, which will enter power saving mode, in this mode, aircraft battery will drain slower and battery life is extended.
So update: Returned to the drone this morning and the maps are back. Did another IMU calibration which this time seems to be showing the correct location.
No explanation that I can think of. Its not as though the controller downloaded the maps overnight as it was off. Same WiFi connection, same location. Its all rather strange. The only thing which might explain it would be some sort of GPS outage, might be interesting to see the RAIM status yesterday.
I am giving serious thought to getting an RC-N1 as a back up though.
A question for those with the RC controller; how do you format the controller SD card after the update? I can find options to clear the cache etc but no option to format it.
Home screen, not fly window, profile, settings, storage voila
Or pull from top of screen, settings icon, storage and select sd card to format
I have a spare RC-N1 available if you find you need one, no idea what it’s worth, it’s mint and updated
Thanks Mark, let me know how much please. PM if you prefer.
No idea, about £50, seen them going for above £75, postage will be another fiver, I don’t use PayPal so bank transfer or collection, either pay before or once received, I’m trustworthy, if you want it inbox for details thanks
