DJI Mini 3 Pro - Rumours, leaks, gossip and general discussion, reviews

I assume these images are cropped looking at the size? I know you are focussing on the DR but I was interested to know if the image quality was that much better on the 48mp image than the 12mp in terms of detail.

They are not cropped just resized, if I was taking single images I would opt for the 48mp but mostly I shoot AEB or Panos as I want the max dynamic range for editing or actual image available before I decide on a crop. The histogram is a good indicator of how much detail the camera is capturing. I think it all depends on how much you edit your images and what the end use is going to be.

Thanks for that info much appreciated. I haven’t tried out the mini 3 properly yet so was just curious if the detail level vs file size was worth it on the 48 mp images. I know it’s not true 48mp hence the curiosity.

They have done a good job with the upscaling

That’s pretty impressive !

Hough Mill, very nice. I found that Lightroom enhanced bracketed images gave a slightly better result than the 48mp setting.

The price is odd. Usually AliExpress matches US prices but that is quite a lot steeper!

I think its a case that a vender was putting his profit onto the DJI price in China the same way people are profiteering on ebay for the stock they have bought from Alibaba.

Yeah it was a useful place for a test and local. I think like most photography beyond the standard good lighting snap you have to plan your image to solve the problems the lighting gives you. The 9 shot pano the drone was very close to the windmill and gave a 108mp stitch and with post the distortions could be fixed easily. So that will be an option for some of my work. For low light pics a noise reducing stack or for high dynamic range a AEB stack. At the end of the day its a 12 mp wide angle lens.

Making use of your RC N-1 with mini 3 RC
I have 2 RC N-1 which I used mith my mini 2 and Mavic 3 and I was thinking why not make use of them while out in the field a powerbank to keep the new RC topped up. I connected via the top usb C and then the bottom both of which will charge the RC as I would of thought that because it has a screen it will use its batteries a lot faster.

You can get a full refund.

Or charge back on your card via Section 75 if they do not play ball.

The contract is with the seller and not DJI

I have been looking to get the kit for some weeks now but there has been none available from numerous outlets I have looked at including DJI UK Shop.

However, I ordered one yesterday and received it today from https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09WVZK9BL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Great to have more battery’s Barry, I’ve already have 3 batterys but ordered a plus battery and I will see how long it takes and if it’s genuine I will Order another to carry 5 in total because my new case arrived and supports 5, atm have my plug and usb in them.

If you don’t mind me asking what’s the standard battery flight time now you have had the updates and hopefully it’s been used a few times ? Only ask as when they first came out many said the flight time was very short so just wondered if the battery updates and a few uses has improved it .

On the latest firmware in breezy conditions 22-23 mins for 100%-15%
