Granted.. But the test was to do with signal strength, hardware against hardware, and not depth of pocket, just giving my quids worth… And by no means am I knocking the RC, proper good, better than a phone/tablet and RCn1 rig up all day long.

But not in this test ;o)

Personal opinions is what makes us unique human beings, other wise it’d be boring as shit, right

Thing’s just got a whole lot more confusing for people who insist on calling the RC the RC Pro.

God help us, let alone DJI’s own support staff.

Without a doubt

The RCN1 has the better range, loads of tests on YT

Before I had my RC patched, never once had issues like a lot of people were having, I stayed on the update that give us Dcinelike, which was an early update, which was around 3 months back ish. Only reason I updated 2 weeks back to the more stable version (after all the crap updates) was to patch it into FCC mode. As regards to the RC vs RCn1 range tests, I never had a bad issue with the RC, did a couple of tests meself, and they were both around the same, only reason I had the RC patched was because I thought f#&k it, my 2S is done, and I noticed the difference obviously.
Also, a lot of people commenting on YT stated they had no problems either. Again, it is what it is…

What’s the extra good news?

Not for me to say, keen eyed will see it

Came across this, presumably FCC from his location… Sorry boss if I done the link wrong again!

You did , it’s fixed

Canada, so yes

Definitely affected by signal interference, I’ve noticed that I can get a lot better distance from the Mini 3 opposed to the Mini SE but both ranges degrade if in a built up area with mobile/comms masts nearby. Stood on a harbour wall heading out to sea I got around 15000ft before having signal drop off. This is with the RC-N1. Stood on the harbour off the bottom of the shot, mid way between the 2 tal ships on the right.

Is that in CE mode if you don’t mind me asking , that’s a good distance , yes the built up areas don’t help round here either .

CE mode? Sorry still learning.

CE mode, meaning the default radio signal strength we “should” fly in Europe. It’s not very strong, but it meets the regulations and shouldn’t interfere with others devices on the same wavelength (Wi-Fi, mobile phones, other drones)

FCC (USA) allows much much stronger transmission. Some people have modified their drones to work with FCC strength signals while operating outside of America. (Drone-Hacks, DroneTweaks amongst others are available)

Thank you, certainly in CE mode than, no where near starting to modify anything yet

My Android devices both do it occasionally as well.

Ordered Freewell Soft Edge Gradient GND0.9, GND1.2-2 Pack Filters and got them last week, but I didn’t have time to test them yet. Now that I have a chance, the weather isn’t playing ball :frowning: Will post some test images and video when conditions are better to take them.
