DJI updates its GEO Zone system and removes Unlock requests and NFZs from its Fly Safe platform

I’ve noticed a couple of new authorisation zones in my county that were not there previously.

Dronescene hasn’t changed yet… @PingSpike any chance the API needs re adjusting again? my fly app on my phone is showing all the GEO Zones again but worse than before?

This is the pop up I get now. I live within a FRZ. Much easier than faffing around to get a dji unlock.

That’s the Dji fly spots map not the fly app map

Go into the connection guide and then camera view and click the map bottom left

Sorry Deano, the update we pushed out the other day was only for the new “Type” category that DJI changed:

Just confirming that Drone Scene still correctly matches DJI’s data as per @SparkyFPV screenshot of Manchester Airport:

Yes, I’ve just tested it myself by powering up my drone, on the fly spots map all restrictions are there and more. But as @SparkyFPV said the actual fly map all restrictions have been removed completely now not even the FRZ’s are showing on mine now after another flysafe update.

Birmingham airport as viewed via my fly map lol

Seems they’ve even removed the authorisation zones now as well. @SparkyFPV have you got an update for your flysafe database? My version is:

App Static Safety Data: 01.00.01.33
Aircraft Static Safety Data: 01.00.01.33

You are correct there is another update but it’s still the same, just check you have the layers enabled

yep all layers enabled…

Alongside East Midlands Airport :exploding_head:

zoom out with internet connection

:man_shrugging:t2:

The map is a downloaded version but not the true Fly safe one that is stored on the drone, it will only show the local restrictions

Try it on your phone with the fly app, you wont see Manchester or London

Deano, your first screen shot said, “Take off with caution, no GPS” and your other one says “Aircraft not connected”.

Connect the drone and give it some GPS so it knows it’s in the UK mate

I’ve just got out the shower  I’ll check tomorrow but I’m sure you’re correct :+1:t2:

On my actual Fly Map, London and the surrounding areas are restriction free? I have the 01.00.01.33 update…

I’ve not even done any updates & London zones have gone.
