From what I have read on dji site, the EU are still working on there requirements for the new Classesā€¦so like the EU, bring in new laws before they decide what is needed to make drones that are compliant for the new classes lol, But then again it took them 2 years to work out what could be classed as chocolate and then after 2 yearsā€¦how much moneyā€¦then decided not to bother with it :frowning:

The regulations for the new classes were issued on 12 March 2019 ā€¦

Donā€™t think the technical requirements have been agreed though.

Iā€™ve only seen ones for special condition in the specific category.

EASA have stated we wonā€™t see information on new generation models until 2022.

Pages 34-61 of the Delegated Regulations seemed fairly detailed already?

Thanks for info, could not find it before, a lot to look through to find the info, seems like dji post is out of date or incorrect then.

Maybe another stupid question, but am I right in thinking you need a separate Operator ID for each drone and one Flyer ID covers you for any drone?

From what I understand your operator ID covers you for all the drones you are responsible for. Each flyer needs a FlyerID but if under 12 they need to be supervised.

Got the pgytech landing gear on just wondering what does that mean as far as safety and were can I fly with the new regs

What drone do you fly?

With the Mini 2 you are not really restricted as you are in permanent A1 clarification. Apart from no fly zones etc.

Check out this post for a pictorial image of where you can fly. The Mini 2 can fly in A1, A2 or A3.

Iā€™ve got a mini 2

But I will be over 250g ?

Remove the legs, if they were needed DJI would have built them in, learn to hand launch and catch.

Check out the Drone Code and our own DroneSafe for good places to fly
