@ankz Bravo ! glad that you managed to rescue it , hopefully it will be OK,as no salt water involved…As Chris says ,leave it in an airing cupboard, for at least a week, with no battery. just out of interest, how did it get rescued ??
Chainsaw ?
I left It to the gentlemen who are local to that area. I am still waiting for the details. I have no idea how they did it. They were going to take chimney sweeping equipment and ropes. They are charging me a princely sum of 250 + courier charges.
Well if the drone is OK a lot better then having to buy a new one…
Just hope it was retrieved without a fall to the ground?.
Hope so,otherwise could end up being EXTREMELY expensive …
maybe you should ask for a phone photo or two, just a thought.
Blimey! This is a real cliff hanger! What happens next?? Does the bird still work?
Got the drone
Spent 250 on recovery. Came back mostly in one piece.
Props are broken - I had spares. Swapped and it is flying.
BUT
The damn gimbal is not moving. The camera is working but the gimbal is non responsive - even when it starts up. The app is giving a gimbal motor overload error.
A quick check on forums seems to suggest changing the ribbon cable - but that looks like a massive undertaking.
Any suggestions?
It’s not a too big a task.
A few necessary tools and a bit of patience, it takes less than 3 hours.
