Oh I hear you @Nidge , When mavic pro came out just over 5 years ago it was fantastic kit out of the box flew flawlessly, boom firmware updates and each one seemed to tighten the noose around the Mavic more and more until I finally bought a key from NLD and the end of DJI controlling me and my old drone.

On this page: https://drone-hacks.com/ scroll down to “State” and it says” Latest known compatible DJI fly version 1.5.10” which is not the latest version in the App Store.
I updated by accident. When there is an update offered by DJI, it’s best to watch the D-H page until they say okay to move to that version number.

The other thing I was meant to ask - was the reason I have to download assistant ( dji ) ?
I’ve used it before on my Mac and I know I have to use windows 10 but just asking the reason why I also need this ……

Sorry - ok just watched the tutorial on YT is it ok to set up an account using my email I use for my drone ? Or wound you suggest using a different email address ?

I think the DJI Assistant puts driver software in, so Windows know what to do when you plug the drone in via USB.

I tend to use the same email address for everything, but maybe another member may be able to chime in offer a reason to use a different one?

Yes you are right, need to install DJI Assistant in order that the correct USB Drivers are there and the software can communicate with the device.
I know its all laid out via the video link from DH, just modified my M2P, after a few minutes thinking I’d bricked it and even though updating the aircraft to latest DJI update, realized i needed to update it with DH software and reflash the aircraft, after that its able to run the hack program. so one down at 36 euros, just done the Mini 2 at 36euros (used discount code twice) exactly the same way and this time it was quicker. just checked everything’s working outside. i’ll test it this weekend on border of Luton airports NFZ as that’s the only area around here
