New Feature :star_struck:

• Check-ins have come to meetups!

It’s often tricky trying to remember all the names of the people that attended your meetup.

We’ve added a new feature today that allows you to check people in when they arrive

On the day of the meetup, a new [Attendee Check In] button makes itself visible on the meetup details page. The button is only visible to the meetup organiser. The button is visible all day, regardless of the meetup start / end time.

When you click on it, you’ll see a single combined list of people, those who said they will attend and those who said they might attend.

There is also the familiar box at the bottom allowing you to check in any people who hadn’t even registered at all.

The meetup organiser can re-visit this list multiple times per day and tick the people they want to check in, as they arrive. They can also un-tick anyone they might have checked in by accident.

A subtle green tick appears next to people that have been checked in:

Soooooooo much easier

New Feature :star_struck:

• Complete Meetup

We’ve made it even easier to complete your meetup at the end of the day.

As the meetup organiser you now have some new and improved [Complete Meetup] functionality.

The list is now split in to three sections:

  • People you’ve already checked in
    – With a last minute opportunity to untick anyone you’d checked in by accident
  • People who said they will attend
  • People who said they might attend
  • The familiar box to add random people who didn’t register

This makes completing your meetup a breeze

New Feature :star_struck:

• Mention people who want to fly at a location when creating a meetup

Since the dawn of time our members have been able to tag a location to say they want to fly there, which allows you to build up a nice visual map of all the places you’d like to fly.

We’ve expanded the Meetups feature today so if another member is organising a meetup at a location you want to fly at, you’ll now receive a notification to say there’s a meetup occurring there

UI / UX Change :desktop_computer:

• Competition prize pictures now open full size

The competition details page has only ever displayed small thumbnail sized images of the prizes.

These images can now be clicked on to open them full-size.

Other Random Stuff :palm_tree:

• Your meetup calendar entries now update themselves

When you register your interest in a Meetup to say you might or will attend, Drone Scene sends you a calendar attachment that you can add directly to your phone’s calendar app.

If any details of the meetup change — for example, the duration or start time — Drone Scene will now send an update to your existing calendar entry, rather than creating a new calendar entry. This prevents duplicate entries from appearing in your calendar app.
