New Feature
A brand new Meetups Layer is now available on Drone Scene
You can browse meetups that are currently being organised by club members across the UK and you can create and organise your own meetup with just a few clicks.
You can register your interest in someone else’s meetup and receive notifications and it will even be added to the calendar on your phone
A detailed map of each meetup is available that includes specific markers just for that meetup so you’ll know exactly where to park, where to meet, where to take off from and much more.
There is a full step by step guide on how to organise a meetup at:
UI / UX Change
Search & Filter
panel when viewing the details of a locationWhen you’re viewing the details of a location the search panel was taking up a lot of valuable real estate. We want to keep the focus on the location details here and the search box being detracts from that.
This only affects Desktop view, the Search & Filter
panel is closed by default on mobile.
UI / UX Change
Person
icon in the menu navigation barThe top menu navigation bar used to have a person icon which when clicked would reveal a sub-menu couple of other options relating to your profile settings.
This sub-menu now contains items other than just your profile-related settings so the icon has been replaced with a simple down arrow.
Bug Fix
– Reported by @MrSpongeHead
When using Chromium based browsers on Android the Map Layers icon became unresponsive after using the Elevation Tool or the Local Authority lookup tool.
Other Random Stuff
I want to give all the @beta-testers a huge round of applause
Their help with building out every aspect of the Meetups feature and testing it all to within an inch of its life over the last six week has been invaluable - this feature could not have happened without them
Thank you
As ever, please keep those feature requests coming. Drone Scene is only as good as your feedback!
We also hope you find this level of release notes / details useful
But don’t forget!
In order to use all the features of Drone Scene you need to be a Silver or Gold Member of Grey Arrows Drone Club.
Membership is available from as little as £1.34 per month
