Was just about to say that
You could try that and it should work but everyone always recommended to me to have them matched as each antenna style will have different gain values and slightly different tune. Apparently for best reception you want them matched.
Iāve tried a few.
I have a couple of vas patches and lollipops that were pretty good.
Tbh the type of flying you will do with the tinyhawk you wonāt need anything other than the stock ones.
The range of the tx and vtx unless upgraded is only about 50 m so its more for aesthetics than anything else at this stage.
Agreed but he wont want to go buy more antennas when he gets a new 5" quad or upgrades his TH2FS
That reminds me - I still need to rebuild my THFS
Thatās good to know. But equally a bit of a surprise that the quad will only do 50m.
It may be more than that. Prior to upgrading, I could manage to hit both ends of a footy pitch if I stood in the middle
You gotta remember what youve got is basically a trainer quad. I think @DeanoG60 has an TH2FS upgrade thread somewhere which shows how to upgrade for better range etc
Yeah, a few of us have followed that trend and opted for the crossfire vtx and rx upgrade.
Be warned itās very fiddly, lots of soldering small contacts and will cost another Ā£60 at least.
You may also need a crossfire RX unit should you choose to go that way (I also have one of these in my box of spares )
You can see why fpv is a money pit now
Farewell Chris
Another one lost to the dark side
Cheers @DeanoG60 was struggling to find that thread lol
No way mate. I am 100% continuing with the camera drones
I have both. There are times when just taking a DJI drone out works and others when fpv is better.
Gives options and makes for a well rounded pilot IMO
Thatās what my wife called me
You can come to the dark side too Rich, weāre having a party
Iām sure thereās a few of us that would fit into that category
These are what you need Chrisā¦
