Emax Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle

Nothing for a couple of weeks. Been busy trying to finish a 2 month project, which is just about complete now. Hopefully, will get to have a bash this weekend.

@clinkadink Gotta get yourself match fit for the Big Meet V2 coming up Chris. There will be gates and obstacles to race around :star_struck:

At the moment … I cannot fly FPV for sh1t. I do need a hell of a lot more practice! The goggles are great, but I find myself taking them off if things get too stressful. Too many hours in the sky with the camera drones probably don’t help. I will keep at it. But don’t expect miracles!

You’ll get to try a whole range of goggles, drones and controllers. By the end of the weekend, you’ll suss it, trust me

Mate its all about the crashing and wearing the pink tutu of shame :star_struck: lol

The misses washed it today for some reason

Have you been using it for the weekends since the last meet Karl? :grimacing:

No, but its a bank holiday. Hopefully the misses has something special planned. I’m game

As long as you wash it again when youre finished, no harm done

I aint wearing that. I’ll bring my own.

Had my first adventure with the TH2F this evening :man_facepalming:

Frame busted in 2 places, leg has about a dozen cuts from brambles and stung all over (feffing nettles!).

Mental note, don’t wear shorts next time :+1:

Progress though, used the goggles for the entire 6 batteries. Although the last pair of 1S with a wonky frame, she kept flipping when I booted it

Hi all, been snooping through this thread for the past hour and enjoying the conversation and camaraderie between you all and learning more about the hobby.
I’m a beginner at fpv and am just getting my bearings between sim and tinywhoop, aside the loads of hours of internet browsing on the various topics related to this hobby (I tend to go down the rabbit hole a bit on things I take a liking to).

@clinkadink Seems like you had your baptism just recently… If its just the frame, its not the worst it could happen I reckon and should be straightforward to fix.

Welcome to fpv Chris  Order the part. Rebuild the quad and go again mate.

Have you ever seen the movie Groundhog Day by chance?

Welcome and fpv is great. Even with a tiny whoop easier outside. Really good to understand read around watch Bardwell and the others over and over and get it hammered inm I’ve been doing it since September (and took a break over winter) bit only just getting onto some topics such as PID tuning etc. Great knowledge and help there though

Already ordered before I posted, £9.95 delivered by UMT :+1:

The frames tend to break fairly easily with a hard crash.

I’ve gone through a few. Will give you exposure to stripping it down and rebuild

I’m obviously not trying hard enough. So far the only damage I have on either of my THF1’s is a broken camera, and that’s when the lens fell off when I looked at it funny.

Welcome to my Sickness. I can speak with a certain degree of authority that the rabbit hole is infinite, and any attempt of an intervention by your loved ones will be futile

You need to hit things like goalposts at full pelt whilst attempting power loops @Nidge

Although I’d suggest your level of flying expertise was far greater than mine when I did this :sunglasses:

Thanks. Yeah, I’ve been having great fun so far. PID tunning is a bit too much for me now, I’m ok with other configuration stuff, but in my mind, in order to do PID tunning, requires one to know what they are doing whilst flying and I’m not there yet. I’m trying to police myself and have realistic expectations and learn the basics first and then progress accordingly.

Infinite indeed… I totally get you man
