Thats just it… this is a new build. No motors yet. Apparently low KV is good for long range… but also for 6s. Hmmmmm…
Just the one quad is fine.
Until that session where you knacker it in the first few minutes (and that session is never far away).
And then you see the sense in having “a spare”, which you justify by having something a bit different.
And seeing as you’re now in the market for variety, a couple more wouldn’t hurt…
Yeah… and then you watch a Nurk video and decide you need a cinewhoop… a Nick Burns video and you need a tinywhoop… a Painless360 video and you need a wing and a Mr Steele video and you need a perfect Ethix freestyle… and a Botgrinder video and you need a … er…
Dammed temptations!! No more internet… lol
But that’s precisely how it goes, always… One tiny thing pulls another and with every cycle it keeps escalating, before you know it you have a fleet at your command
Speaking of temptations…lol But if it serves a purpose than its justifiable…
Well was travelling 1.5 hours somewhere wanted to be able to charge so got it. And yeah for a session well worth having a few to choose from esp if you break one and you will.
If @Challenges_Committee ever run a Lazy Bastard comp, I’ll win … hands down.
A month later, finally rebuilt the TH2F. I did have a go as soon as I received the new frame, but then realised about half the screws, standoffs and nuts were missing. That arrived about a week later. Then I lunched out for a couple of weeks … until today.
It’s only when doing something like this for the first time, I realised (a) I am blind and (b) I have sausage fingers. Replacing a frame is a good way to get to know your quad though
Just had a quick spin around the garden. Just missed the wife’s pomeranian, took a chunk out of the lavender bush and piled into the sheets drying on the washing line. It’s good to see I still can’t FPV for the life of me
But a successful repair and she still flies!
Just in time for the Big Meet this weekend
The THFS2 is a very small quad to work on lol its a bit easier with the 5" and above size quads
Youll be able to have a go with a bigger quad this weekend if you fancy trying
Believe it or not Chris I find the bigger quads easier to control than the smaller quads, they feel more stable (he says walking across the field in the pink tutu to collect his 5" quad after his 20th crash of the day)
Yeah, I’ve thought that may be the case.
It’s already reserved
You aint kidding. I mean … look of the size of the nuts … they’re having a giraffe
Fook me you’ve got BIG thingers
Looks huge to me…
Yeah but you work on those teeny tiny whoops though Richard
That I do… with teeny tiny screws… M1 self tappers… mmm…
They get smaller still?
