That maybe the dshot failsafe beacon?

Was that on the original Uart4 or on the new Uart5 (which we arent 100% sure will work with Sbus)

On 5 but I could dob it onto the original Uart4 see if that makes a difference, TBH ill try anything to get it up and running again …

Well you know it worked originally on Uart4 and as you already tried 5 with the original Vista I would put it back on 4 and change the serial rx back to Uart 4 too

Yah I changed it after I took that shot :+1:t3:

Yah thats the plan this morning, if that doesn’t work what do you think about re flashing the FC in BF

Well swopped the vista’s round and no difference, but like I pointed out Iv gained chirping motors which seemed to be linked to a blue LED on my FC :man_shrugging:t3:

Not sure about flashing the board as cant see how that would cause the fault …

As Karl said its probably a failsafe beacon.

I would now take a Vista that I know is working and test it on the Firefly. If that works you know its the Vista, if it doesnt work you know its the FC

Think Iv worked out why all of a sudden the motors are beeping, Im assuming its because Iv removed the vfly buzzer as I have an issue with that bleeping also…

still doesnt solve my issue not arming but does indicate something is wrong else where, maybe ESC??

this is the issue im having, fast forward to 1.15

Its probably because you dont have a connection to the receiver (sbus on your Vista) which is causing a failsafe beacon when you power up the quad. Connect it to betaflight and check the failsafe options

And the beeper options like rx lost

Just done some testing and its exactly same issue as vid above, switched on the bidirectional Dshot and the motors wanted to spin on there own…

This does make be think its an ESC I just need to understand how to re flash them, if that the way forward …

Were you running bidirectional dshot to start with? Is your esc compatible with bidirectional dshot?
What do you mean by ‘the motors wanted to spin on there own…’ ?

Just out of curiosity what voltage is your battery at? It could just be a low battery warning

Im sure that blheli s is not compatible with Dshot Nick

Im just looking at reflashing the ESC, see if that makes any difference just trying to find a link to Blheli s

Why? Have you checked what I put above?

Check your battery voltage before you go through the aggro of flashing you esc
