Thanks, i thought registration was meant to be done via first country visited, but if can use another that works will do that.

French one. Alpha Tango. Free, in English.

I used it, dead strait forward and importantly free!

Luxembourg first then French alpha tanga after pass
I think first flight should be France

You can register in any country.

No need to fly in the same one first.

What if you intended to fly in Spain, passed the Spanish test and then had the opportunity to fly in Ireland?

You can’t retake the exam in Ireland, so are you banned from the whole of Europe until you get to Spain? Of course not.

Hi All,
I’m applying for my operating number in preparation for taking my drone abroad to the EU this year.

The issue I have is that they ask for a “copy” of my passport to be attached to the form. This is surely a bit of a no-no.

Has anyone came across this before when applying for licences, or is it a case of they only want copies of the first couple of pages ie, the ones with your picture, passport number etc.

Any advice would be great.

Regards

Kev

When I applied for my Euro ‘licence’ I used this site….
https://learningzone.eurocontrol.int/ilp/pages/description.jsf#/users/@self/catalogues/8264768/courses/15839908/description

It was free, and I’m pretty sure I didn’t need to provide passport details.

I hope this is helpful

Moved your post to a thread that had a whole load of info on this topic.

Requiring a copy of Photo ID such as a passport or drivers licence is normal in my experience and a requirement to ensure your personal details match your Op ID/Flyer ID details on your application; including your current permanent address. It can be sent securely on line if I recall correctly so there should be no cause for alarm.

I have to use an Authenticator app to access my EASA account in a similar way to veryifying a bank account transaction, so security is better than most I’d say.
