Flying your drone in Spain

Thanks. Will get it done sometime on the tail end of summer. Not planning to be out there until maybe October.

This was the course I did to get the Euro ID
A1/A3 Course & Examination - UAS Remote Pilot Open Category - [UAS-OPEN-A1+A3]

They are based in Luxembourg. The course (and web site) is in English, and its free, so what’s not to like

Hi folks I am off to salou next month and I am trying to register with the aesa so I can take my DJI mini 2 with me but it seems so difficult. Does anyone have any insights to where I can register when I try it’s asking for digital documentation and to use a thing called cl@ve it’s just doing my head in. And looks like I am going to need to leave my baby here.

We moved you post to this thread that already covers this topic, have a read above and also check here may help

register in ireland then take the EASA A1/A3 test pay the 30 euros then your good to fly in EU

But for the same cost it lasts longer which in my book equates to cheaper.

It lasts the same amount of time?

Three years for operator and five years for flyer? I thought i had read in the past that the Irish issued ones dont last that long?

Last the same then as just checked

I just checked too, and the version of the IAA website I see says that the Irish registration is €38 or only two years not three years that Cyprus is (€15)…

Done the same m8. THOUGHT IT WAS FIRST COUNTRY IN EUROPE . You flew and went that route

Intention can always change

Hey Guys hoping for some clarity…

I’m current over in Lanzarote with my Mini 2, haven’t flown properly yet as need to get this registration process sorted but it’s unclear and I can’t make head nor tails of the comments trail…

I have passed the EASA A1 A3 (Lux Course) and have the cert… I have insurance… but seems I still need to register for an operator ID in Spain…

Most of Lanz is off limits but just near my Villa in Playa Blanca it has a small area to fly ok in.

Anyone have any ideas for getting a op number out here I’ve been trying for a week!

I can’t get past the Cl@ve process.

I managed to get a Esignature for Foreigners but that’s no use for operator ID.

I don’t understand the comments just do the Irish or Cyprus one as surely Spain requires you to register…

My gosh this is hard work !

Help !!!

Steve

Register in one EASA country and you’re registered in them all…

Ok, yes that was the conclusion I’ve got to this afternoon. Just awaiting for the Ireland process to approve my identity!

I’m registered in Luxemburg as their course and licensing was free. I found the European one much more in depth than the UK CAA one, I feel I learnt more.
