Flywoo explorer setup

First off make sure you have an antenna attached to your vtx before powering up (without an antenna can potentially damage the vtx)

Same with your goggles, make sure you have antennas attached

The vtx will usually at the back end of your quad and its that which will probably have leds on it (if you can tell us which vtx it is we can check for a manual online)

Dam, I have turned on the goggles without the antenna attached when I got them to check they worked. So potentially that could damage it then?

I hope I haven’t. Are the chances high?

Ok so it say VTX: FLYWOO HM600

What do we now know with this information?

Where is the antenna on the quad?

Isn’t it the black tail at the back? It is connected isn’t it?

Or was there something I am supposed to do there as well?

Or do I need to make sure it’s propped up in the plastic holder you mean?

Youll probably be ok, its the transmitter side thats most likely to get damaged

Looking at your photos it looks like the vtx antenna is attached already :+1:t2:

Ive posted a link to the manual above. Download it and turn to page 4 as below

The red circled part is how to adjust the vtx settings

Ok, i can’t see any lights in the vtx though?

There’s the one by where I am powering the quad but I can’t see any on the part I believe is the vtx or have I got it wrong?

And is this the button I need to be pressing?

Thats the button and its hard to tell from the image but the 3 leds are probably these that Ive circled

Also your vtx wont power up from usb, you will need to plug a battery into the quad :+1:t2:

AHH right, that will be why then, I did think I swore Ive seen others on there. But yes now you mention it that must be when I have used to battery thank you. Sorry for being such a newb not sure how you put up with us haha.

Cheers mate I’ll take a look again tomorrow at this as that’s why I tend to try and not use the battery if I can as when I do it causes a loud beeping noise from the GPS which is rather annoying in the house when it gets late! And I’m not sure how to turn it off or stop it, or if I even can.

Haha no problem we have all been there, wasnt that long ago and I was the one asking all the questions lol its the only way you learn :+1:t2:

And looking at it now I can’t see that that is a button where you say

Here’s a close up

I’ve also tried to press what’s there and just looks like three mental points but not buttons…

Or am I wrong

Ok I think maybe you ment they are the LEDs?

I just stuck the battery in and they lit up.

So that’s where they are. But the button must be the one that I circled perhaps? Looks like the only pressable thing on there?

The bit I circled are the LED’s, the button is the the part you circled earlier :+1:t2:

Ah dear! Sorry I must of miss read you. It’s where it’s getting late and I’ve had a long day out in the sun. Sorry for wasting your time and making you re explain. Thank you for clarifying and getting me through this. I definitely ow you a good few beers @SirGunner mate
