Fun And Friendly Edit Challenge - Discussion Thread

If I could get my way, some of the scrotebag knobjockeys outside will reach their final destination tonight, in a horrible sticky mess!!! I’m in a hotel in Turriff, and it seems my bedroom window faces part of the local indy touring circuit. Little wankbags in shitty cars with noisey exhausts and fake dump valves. Can’t shut the windows as it’s too hot, I’m going to loose the plot shortly. The only bonus is that I can’t hear my tinnitus for the wee bastards.

But back on topic!!!

For anyone who needs a distraction:

There’s a pedestrian crossing right outside, I think I might go and pretend to be Joe in the button factory?

As I’m in the middle of a busy wedding season just now I’m not catching as many discussion threads, including this one and missed the poll (I would have gone for postpone). However, I personally, kind of drifted away from the Edit Challenge as it moved away from how it started, actual editing! As Rob @macspite said

A lot of folk uploaded JPEG’s which put me off too, you can only do so much with a JPEG compared to a RAW.
To me editing an image is taking a RAW image file and by adjusting colour balance, exposure, colour saturation and cropping, to create a final image. If you take a good well exposed image you shouldn’t really need to do much more to it.

Everyones gotta start somewhere. They would just have a go and see what’s what

I would just like to thank the @Challenges_Committee for proving me wrong. I thought the old editing rules were too restrictive. The removal of them has shown me that they were pretty much spot on.

We try to throw in an “all edits count” round every so often, they can quite often be pretty funny and well executed. Favourite subjects appear to be Nessy, Aliens and Where’s Wally!!!
The intention of this challenge is to improve our editing skills, and hopefully share that knowledge
