Have you wrapped your bird?

WrapGrade v Dankla

Ok, I’ve used wraps from both of these guys now. I have to say that, despite the price, I much prefer WrapGrade.

Quality
The 3M vinyl used by Wrapgrade is of better quality than the material used by Dankla for their M2P kit. There isn’t any branding on the sheets so I’ve no idea what they are using. The adhesive is better on the WrapGrade, allowing easy repositioning. The Dankla wrap struggles on some curves; coming loose in places. Dankla suggest using a hairdryer during application.

Fit
IMHO, WrapGrade offers a genuine wrap; most parts are cut in a way that allows overlap between pieces, so none of the drone exterior finish is visible.

Dankla do not follow that approach; each piece is cut to cover a particular facet, so there are visible ‘joint’ lines. These can be quite obvious if you’re not very dexterous. (see photo).

Instructions
Again, Wrapgrade all the way. Each kit comes with a diagram that shows alignment guides for each part. There are also tons of useful YouTube videos.

Dankla supply a numbered diagram showing where the different pieces go; there is no alignment guide or any videos for any DJI drone online.

Price
WrapGrade kits are roughly double the price of equivalent Dankla offerings.

Conclusion
I usually try and bat for the ‘little guy’, but I’m sorry to say that on this occasion, it’s WrapGrade all the way.
