hello from rochdale

Hi

I used fly model plane’s mostly gliders and electric but sold most of those a while back. I have been looking to get a drone for a while and have just got my hands on a DJI Air 3.

The initial part of getting the operator ID , flyer ID reading all the rules is quite daunting and all the CAA jargon the various apps and no fly zones etc.

I seem to have managed all that and now happily flying and getting better with my drone.

looking forwarded to getting out further a field and looking interestingly at reports of the new DJI mini 4

busy reading all the great info on this site

Hi Paul welcome to GADC the Air 3 is an awesome drone ,enjoy

hi and welcome, if you are up for a meet with like minded flyers, the next one is over in Hull next weekend

I’m really liking the Air 3 , The omnidirectional obstacle avoidance is great for a beginner , battery time seem very good I used to have load of battery packs when flying the electric planes. just need to get a better charger  .

I was out the other day and it got a bit windy and it handled it really well RTH and all the fancy features it is taking me a while to get used to it all.

just got back from a early morning trip and was experimenting with the camera and video It may take me a while to actually get anything good but was fun hovering over a tree trying to get a good shot.

I will defiantly look out for the meet ups , unfortunately can’t make that one but hopefully be able to make one soon

Awesome, thanks for the info, trying to weigh up whether to go for the Air 3 now, or to work a bit longer and get the Mavic3 Pro early next year, hubby, is the one I need to persuade
