Is it possible to post RAW images?

Can we get JPGs on those two WeTransfer links guys?

As in, jpg embedded in this thread

Just as a test run

I like this idea. I’m not at home right now to edit sadly

How much interest is there in this idea? Anyone have any comments or ideas? Should I set up a new thread or tag onto Steves @McSteamy2010 existing before/after editing thread (Steve has kindly said that he is OK with this)? Would people want it run as a friendly comp like RTF comp or just as a general interests thread? All input is very welcome

Phone edit so not the best

I’m up for this :+1: Personally I’d go for a new thread as it’s not quite the same as a before/after.

Nice mate, is a tricky one to edit. Took that this morning in nothing but fog! Not really played with as didn’t think it was worth the time. Lol

Alternatively

Excellent idea. It’s half the fun after all.

What about two categories for the same photo an out and out beauty pageants and a comedy one.

Voted on separately.

We don’t all have access to brilliant software for editing RAW images, or expertise in doing so, so I’d (personally) be more interested in a thread where people post what they’ve done, and how they did it, than any kind of competition.

Here you go Steve @McSteamy2010 about 10mins worth in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Nice John, like that mate. saves me a job :smirk:

Nice Ned :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

:joy: :+1: It’s actually amazing how much detail is in your RAW file. In the foggy and shadow areas I had to use the LR adjustment brush on it with moire & defringe set high.

Hey @kvetner I too don’t have a laptop with amazing and expensive software to process RAW. I use the free and simple to use Snapseed on my phone. Also when I say competition I use the word loosely. I was thinking whoever uploaded the original image could pick a favourite or ‘winner’ and then that person could give a quick description of how they edited the image and then post the next RAW to work with or something like that? Its mainly a bit of fun but also for people to learn a little about editing through both trying themselves and also seeing what other people do :+1:t2:

Added and credited on Instagram :+1::grin:

I like the idea but jpg is a better idea imho, everyone can do it, even those phone/tablet users.

@SirGunner Steve, yours just cried out monochrome to me, particularly being a pattern shot :+1:

Yes!!! That works
