Snapseed works for RAW too on ios and android devices. But there will also be an original unedited jpeg uploaded with the RAW so it doesn’t have to be limited to just RAW edit. Maybe when posted people can say if they used RAW or jpeg? As I say I’m very open to suggestions
I thought exactly the same John lol I tried an edit but didn’t look as good as yours mate
. I will try and find it lol
Inspiration!! Thanks @Drumsagard
This works too!
I’d suggest anyone who is keen to learn photo editing to shoot in RAW. There is an awful lot more you can get out of a RAW file than a jpeg.
Its the borders you guys add that make yours look better than mine. Its definitely not that you have better editing skills than me honest Guv
I know what you mean. The more folk that can join in, the better eh?
I think RAW was chosen as there’s zero processing on it.
Ned
It’s also non-destructive
This is one of the reasons I thought about this thread idea John. I would love to learn off the many great photo editors on here. At the end of the day you only get better by doing it
I’ve learnt 2 things in the last couple of mins… I love this idea!
Been shooting raw since July 2000, couldn’t agree more, its a much more forgiving format.
The free version of Lightroom (for Android, at least) may not have all the bells and whistles, but happily handles RAW.
I certainly don’t want to exclude anyone from this so if anyone wants to edit the jpeg I don’t have a problem with it at all. After all this will be (hopefully) as much about education on editing as the photo edits themselves
I didn’t even know it was available on Android, so I too have learned something new!
3 things now!
I used it for a long time before I ended up having to get laptop version of LR and PS, a few months back, that also gave me the bells and whistles.
I do sound like an approaching Santa in the wee hours of 24/25 Dec, now, though.
There seems to be a good deal of interest in this idea from @SirGunner.
When is the official launch?
Ned
Five … Four … Three … Two … One!

We have lift-off!
Had a quick fiddle with LR and Snapseed on my phone and can’t get anywhere close to anything shared above, so I’ll look forward to an idiot’s guide!*
*That’s a guide to help an idiot, not a guide made by an idiot
I won’t post a guide then mate ![]()
