Laugharne Castle - Added to Castles and Fortifications in Wales

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene:

Land owner permission requirements unknown.

Laugharne and Laugharne Castle are a lovely location but difficult to fly due to lots of tourist in the summer. I tried flying it yesterday but had difficulty maintaining the 50m from people due to lots of tourist. Filmed the marsh in front of the castle only. Free Parking in front of the castle Going to retry in the winter. I will add a video once edited…

The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flown on 19/07/2020. It remains the responsibility of any pilot to check for any changes before flying at the same location.

Thanks @AndyArdent for adding to DS

Hi All

I am finally a paid member woohoo

I was taking a look on DS to view the local byelaws and took a look at this area but I cannot see where to find the local council byelaws.

I ve clicked the question mark at the bottom. I just seem to be finding areas that someone has flown and logged the place.

Am I missiing it somewhere?

Thanks

Possibly

Have a look at this thread for some screenshots: Over 370 Local Authority Byelaws and Policies on the Recreational Use of Drones are now available on Drone Scene

Thanks Ping
Ive checked the layers and all boxes are ticked apart from the dji zones

Are you seeing byelaw links when you look or just same as the example I posted?

Cheers

Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re doing wrong.

Try this video instead:

More info on this thread:

Ahh perfect, thanks Ping for the video, I could see what was happening. When I first searched it came up with circles with numbers in them and thats what I followed just showing users logged areas.
When I clicked thev? again they disappeared and then after watching the video, clivked an area like Carmarthen and hey presto

Great, thanks for this
I know its old history but Carmarthen Council daying one needs to ask permission everytime and this FOI ok dated April 2024 says there are no byelaws

Now I am armed with being able to search DS to the FOI from being a member
Brill
Cheers
