Litchi chit-chat ... What's Litchi? Should I use Litchi?

What is the message you get when you try?

Simply ā€œcan’t open fileā€.

I have a fire tablet somewhere  and I did side load the Google play store on it

I will go and have a look, hang fire

Fire HD 8 (7th Gen) running fire os 5.6.9.0 (659658220)

Google Playstore Side loaded (I did this some time ago and can’t remember the process but google is your friend)

A quick test in the kitchen and seems to be working ok :+1:

Thanks all, now had a refund from original purchase, I’ll download it on my Fire and hopefully it will allow me to use it on phone too.

This is from Litchi site… * The Google Play Store, iOS App Store and Amazon App Store use different licensing systems, if you wish to use Litchi on two or more platforms you will need to purchase it on each one.
So from what I see, I cant just download on one device and use on the other…unless someone there knows different?

This I believe works

I’m sure we had this conversation 12hrs ago

Whichever app store you buy it from, you can use it on an unlimited number of devices that are also able to use that same store.

Buy it from the apple app store and you can use it on six different iPhones and iPads (if you have that many).

Buy it on Google play store and use it on eight different android phones and tablets (assuming they can run the Google play store).

Buy it from Amazon and use it on as many devices you have that can run the Amazon App Store.

As an example of this one, I bought the app once from Amazon and am able to run it on my CrystalSky and on my DJI Smart Controller - because both those devices can run the Amazon App Store.

Hope this helps

Or do this

Despite all the advice, I just cannot get this sorted out! The app says it’s available to download on Amazon but on my device at least there is no button to hit to download and when I get Google play on the tablet, it won’t let me download it either!
So all in all I’ve got nowhere, being in a very poor internet area at present isn’t helping either.
One thing I KNOW will work is to simply go back to phone download and forget about using the tablet.
Cheers again all for trying to help.

With Amazon you have to purchase the app first, click on the price at the top left

Same on Google

Yep, I have seen both of the above but I am still not convinced downloading on an Amazon tablet will allow it to work on Android phone and visa versa, also why would there be a Ā£2 difference in the price? Maybe not be a lot as a one off, but times that difference by the amount of users downloading it and the developer will be losing Ā£1000s! I’m probably being too cautious but…

Try it on the amazon app on the Andriod phone, as said above it has worked

If it doesn’t then you kicked 20 notes down the grid :+1:

I also tested it this moring on a fire tablet using the play store and it worked

:scream:

I’m back!
Tablet modified to download Google Play App and once I actually receive my refund, I will be downloading Litchi now confident that I will be paying once and able to use on phone and tablet.
Thanks again guys.

I have installed Amazon Appstore on my RC Pro, Litchi is available to download but at £19.99, is there anyway around this as i have already paid for it on my Android Google account?

No, sorry Mark, the different app stores have been widely documented here

Wayne @SparkyFPV posted details of a side load method just recently but my memory fails me now and I can’t remember what device it was for or where he posted it :man_facepalming:t2:
