Litchi chit-chat ... What's Litchi? Should I use Litchi?

Sorry, must have bungled my prior search!

Yes, excited to try this for the first time.

What’s a rookie mistake I need to avoid when flying my first planned Litchi mission?

The other thread is about the Beta / SDK … so still the correct place for the news to be posted regarding a new version. :+1:

With your Mini 2 make sure that it is set to return to home on loss of connection, and not to plan to take it miles and miles away from you, the Mini 2 relies on a signal unlike the more powerful Mavic range.

Crashing in to trees that you can’t see on Google maps when you created the mission :palm_tree:

Watch your altitude and be ready to hit the pause button on controller, or stop button in Litchi app.

(Did my first ever Litchi flight today with a Mini 2)

This🖕

Moved your post and replies to this more general Litchi thread, rather then the “New Releases” thread, since it was drifting away from that topic. :+1:

The default and can’t be changed even though it can be selected, is return to home.

At last. With the Litchi update I can now use the Crystalsky with the Mini 2 and presumably for other drones that use the Fly app. Just need to make a bracket now.

Just been out for my first flight with the Litchi app. Didn’t get a chance to try out many of the features due to bloody seagiulls and pigeons but one thing I did notice was the video feed would stop, then start a second later, then stop, then start again continuously. Just to make sure I fired up the DJI app to check it wasn’t the SD card playing up and nope, that was fine. Back in the Litchi app and the same video feed problem occured.

Any ideas?

An idea, but I do not know really (only had three flights with Litchi): be sure DJI Fly app is closed when running Litchi.

Phone…Andriod or ios? Drone?

Were all the other Apps forced closed and its best to be in airplane mode

Android and thanks. I did update the firmware on the DJI app before heading out and didn’t force close so that was probably running in the background on the first Litchi flight and again after I tested the Fly app to make sure it wasn’t the card.

Can someone tell me the resolution of cached videos on the Litchi app? I don’t see an option to set this.
Thanks

There isn’t an option on iOS (or there never has been)

Litchi was designed to run autonomous missions, even if connection to the controller is lost.
Without a connection it wouldn’t be possible to cache anything … so it was never implemented.

It is in iOS, always has been, just not the option to alter the resolution.

How can it cache without a connection?

It caches when it has the connection (end of shooting)

That’ll be “downloading” then … not caching … imo.
