Potato potatoe , it does it anyway
From your experience, is it a lower res video, same as the DJI apps? I just donāt want to fill up the memory on my phone.
This warning kind of put me off from enabling the option.
Didnt know if this should go in here or the Drone Tweaks sub?
I use both Litchi and the Drone Tweaks apps. Litchi when Iām out in the open, DT when in built up areas or flying in and around factories and industrial estates. Might seem wierd flying around industrial estates but Iām a field service engineer and my work takes me to these places all over Scotland, sometimes its the only chance I get to fly.
Anyway, I have asked Florrin over at Drone Tweaks if it would be possible to get the fcc tweak to work with Litchi. He has answered yes, if there is enough interest. So, if any of you guys and gals would see a benefit in this happening then please feel free to pop over to

First time Iāve logged into that heinous platform in a couple of years - but my interest has been added. (Not that I use Drone Tweaks ⦠)
⦠now logged out. Off to have a shower.
I would say it should also be on Drone Tweaks topic as well.
I have a question for you Litchi users that plan missions, if I may.
Well two actually, first one is simple and I know the answer I think.
If I get the app and it seems a no brainer to do so, I presume I can use it on both drones (mini2 and Air2S), correct?
Can I down load it to different devices? I am considering using my S10 as a āDrone only deviceā. But would also want it on the S21 Ultra.
Thirdly and I lied about only 2 questions! I want to plan a mission to fly a section of Hadrianās wall. I would be starting looking at the wall from approx 200m away.
I have used Bing OS maps to find the rough height above sea level and was hoping to then use contours to work out how much relatively higher the wall is from my starting position. I am struggling to find the height of the crag on Bing. How would you do it?
I have uploaded a screenshot of the maps to try and explain.
I was intending to TOAL from the black dot near Long Side.
I think I am correct in saying the wall is at 276m but Iām not 100% sure.
Many thanks.
Yes - since they are both Android. Same applies to anyone that has multiple iOSā¦
Use the Mission Hub on computer - you can set waypoints to height above ground. So you can set a waypoint above any point above the ground, or above take-off.
You can also use VLM (Virtual Litchi Mission on PC - or a Chome plugin on MacOS) that does a profile of a mission versus the ground its flying over. And even fly a āvirtualā flight of the mission in Google Earth. Useful for checking out somewhere thatās a distance away before you get there.
Yes, but only on devices that support the same App Store.
Eg. Buy it once from the Apple App Store and install it on as many iOS devices as you like, buy it from Google Play and install it on as many devices as you have that support Google Play (remember, DJI Smart Controller and DJI RC Pro do not natively support any Google services), buy it from Amazon App Store and install it on all and any devices that you can load the Amazon Apo Store on to.
Iād go there any eyeball it. No way would I ever fly a mission without having seen it first.
Too many random buildings, cranes, trees, barns, pylons, etc can appear that you werenāt seeing on a map
You donāt need to have to have bought the app to try the Mission Hub on a computer and plan a mission. You only need the app to fly it.
You donāt need to have bought the app to use VLM, either.
Looking now, cheers.
Last time we were there the Romanās had all gone home! Probably getting ready for the World Cup, oh no I forgot sorry, theyāre not going
Point taken but we are 300 miles away and nothing will have changed on this particular site!
Are you on Windows or MacOS at home?
Iām on the Mac as we speak but have a windows laptop as well
Once youāve played with Mission Hub and understand the basics, Iād definitely consider getting VLM on Windows.
Itās great to visualise the resulting video youād get, check the virtual view from different waypoints if you plan pics, without having to be at the location.
When you have hilly terrain, the ability to check your mission isnāt flying into the ground anywhere is also very useful ⦠funnily enough.
Visualising where buildings/trees are is useful, too ⦠and whist height clearance canāt be proven, youāll know things you want to check when on site ⦠and then adjust any waypoints quickly when you are on site. (Google Earth data isnāt accurate up to the minute - buildings, pylons, etc., can appear since the images were captured.)
Drone Scene zoomed in with Ground Hazards layer on is good for scouting powerlines, too ⦠as is OpenStreetMap.
Forgot to mention ⦠VLM links into your Litchi account and has the same interface as Mission Hub ⦠but with extra planning features. And the mission syncs to you device as it does from Mission Hub.
Using VLM and Google Earth - you can even create a video of the planned mission.
An example : Flying in London! š
Soooo, can I plan the mission at home on the Mac and then open the mission in VLM at work on the PC? Obviously during my lunch break!!
Now that would be a mission to fly, anyone want to lend me a drone?
Yup - they all sync automatically.
On Mac you can also use a Chrome plugin that does pretty much the same thing. Not used so much, myself, being on Windows.
But it does show you what you can see in GE, using either VLM or the Chrome Plucin, before getting to site.
I have a load all set up for different places in Scotland, since Iām hoping to spend some time there this summer. All the hard graft is done months before. Just need the weather and on-site recce.
Donāt forget Drone Scene has an Elevation tool built in which might help plan some scenarios
