It’s to check the claim is valid

How do you check the claim is valid without analysing the log? That was my point.

re:

Maybe its just to prove that it happened during a flight and not just giving it to your mate and getting a cheap replacement yourself?

They are not analysing the data just checking the claim is a valid fly away

Its DJI, do you expect it to make sense Dave?

It’s part of the T&Cs. You think they’d have it make sense. Yup.

Are they taking the p1ss??!! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

The process is done in the Fly app, goto profile-device management-value added service and select Aircraft Flyaway

That part is (which I have done), but I still had to complete an online form as well. Which was hillarious. Lots of multiple choice, options for weather (one was windy), then a text box explaining what happened.

Its now officially reported as a ‘flyaway’, they will get back to me within 72 hours, and get this … email shipping labels to me :man_facepalming:

I guess the labels are for the normal situation where the bits are retrieved.

Could send them some mud/cow-pats from the field? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have been monitoring Gumtree and Ebay too, in case anyone had found it, and decided to make a fast buck. I found this one, where the seller makes no mention of a cracked front right arm, right by the motor mount … just like mine.

Also looks like there’s remnants of some adhesive on the nose, to the left of the front LED.

I had adhesive velcro on the nose of mine.

Could be coincidence.

Blimey … that’s a few too many coincidences to be a … coincidence!
