I reported my drone lost to Wiltshire Police about an hour ago. I mentioned to them that one had been handed into Chippenham Police station a few days ago. They I asked how I knew that. I told them I heard in the GADC forum. How did you find out about a drone being handed in? Looking at your username, do you work there? If so, is it a DJI Mini 2?
At worst it is one possibility eliminated
Hi. No i dont work there. It popped up on my FB that they had one and to go to the station to collect. It did not say what it was. I will try to find the post for you

It was this. I have now opened the link and it was may 2015. Not sure why it came up on my FB now. Sorry for wasting your time.

Not to worry, thanks for letting me know
If it was caught by something like this it could be anywhere
Have you got flyaway cover on this drone @clinkadink ?
Do they even look at these?
I was under the impression that the DJI Refresh was ‘No questions asked’ replacement
There have been occasions when people have had long discussions with DJI after throwing out the claim once they’ve gone through the logs.
I recall someone who had a battery disconnect over a beach in South Devon/Cornwall … spent some time helping him argue his case with DJI.
Edit:
This one : Lost Mavic 2
They may have modified their procedures, of course, during the intervening years.
As I understand it, DJI Care Express or DJI Care Express+ is ‘no questions asked’. But not sure about ‘DJI Flyaway Service’, as this is an entirely different process - certainly the application side of it (as I am currently finding out).
Looks like they need the flight record to process the claim but no anaysis is performed
Going round in circles on the DJI Service Centre page. It’s all geared up for Express, not Flyaway
So - what’s the point of asking for the flight log.
Im guessing something to do with restricting the use of the lost aircraft
