My Mini 3 Pro is being sent to Dji for a warranty issue

I won’t labour the Amazon / consumer rights thing any further

Please do keep us all posted with updates Francesco, I’m fascinated to see how this plays out, especially if this turns out to be legit.

You might be the first member to have had a UK repair done under warranty :clap:t2:

And finally before you asked the Amazon return window for that item, closed on Aug 31st.

Maybe they are tightening their systems, I had a Mavic Air 2 and one of the batteries was dodgy, they swapped the whole package, sent the new one next day and I returned the faulty one the following day, and that was over 2 months after buying it

In the words of Bruce Willies In Die Hard: Yippee-Ki-Yay

Did you phone or use live chat?

I prefer live chat, never had an issue.

Try again, and you will get a new CS agent.

Don’t ask for advice, state you want a replacement as its faulty.

Amazon are legally obliged to offer you a repair or replacement.

Off it goes and I am droneless again…

I guess I’ll better get back to do some wood working and gardening for a while, aye?.

From personal experience, DJI does not ask for the controller or the battery. Quite the reverse, they state just send the Drone without battery or controller.

Look pal, this has been a case that has defeated all previous misconceptions by people here that thought they knew it all about Dji. On the contrary, we have proof that a little knowledge is a dangerous things and people have jumped the gun in thinking this was all a scam. We now know that Dji has a new flashship store in Birmingham which appears to be linked to this new authorized repair centre to whom I am instructed to send the drone to, including the controller and 1 battery.

My issue was a gimbal getting stuck in mid air not wanting to point all the way down and instead flipping back up, after several attempts online with the Dji assistant, asking me to do various checks he then deemed necessary for me to return all 3 items as shown,

Since it’s a gimbal failure they’re not sure if it’s software related due to a malfunction between the controller and the drone, they’ve specifically asked to send all 3

Don’t forget to attach a lithium label to the outside of the package to minimise delays. I think it’s UN 3481 you need (batteries shipped in or with equipment)
Download a free one from t’internet.

I hear you and yes, I did read the entire thread. I’m simply stating that ‘in my experience’, less than a month ago, they specifically asked that I ‘do not’ send the battery or the controller. That said, this post resulted in you taking action to ensure the safety of your drone and the authenticity of who you’re sending it to so, all good pal.

My thoughts would be if they where/are
Would they not have commented on this :man_shrugging:t2:
Better to be safe than droneless

You’re going down the rabbit hole again Francesco :scream:

We were just trying to help you not get spammed

As to the Store and the repair centre you have sent your drone to, they seem to be a franchise run by the same person who also owns the electronics repair centre that your drone is on its way to

Lets hope you get a good result

If it’s a warranty case that requires data analysis then they will ask for everything to be sent back

Yup done that too

Do not think DJI are at fault here if you got the information from google. Websites are so easy to replcate. Scam yes or no? As somone said they may be trying to make some money. You send to them, they send for you, it is returned to them and they say "your drone is ready please pay shipping and our charges. what do you do, they have your drone. If you want DJI to fix it… ask them… dji and a dji repair center are not the same. I can take my car to and mechanic specifying they repair citroens… they are not citroen. However it could even be a rented address for a month, grab a pile of drones and run. Some rent two properties, one to intercept parcels and the other over the road to keep a close eye out on officials. Would DJI ever run out of stock and depend on a vape shop to fulfil orders. Too many bells. The bad people on the internet caused massive problems to me. I may be over cautious and overthink but to be honest i have good reason to. Scams only work if they are good. Thats why the scammer makes it look so official. Be careful. Just trust DJI.

Edit posted this as a reply further up whilstvstill reading. I dont think i would personally send things there but thats just me.

Seriously?

well it appears a lot of people were 100% sure this was not legit and then when we saw the conversation online with the Dji Assistant we understood that strange as it looked that address and those instructions were indeed genuine.

Please let’s now wait and see the outcome. I don’t have to justify Dji I am piggy in the middle and Jesus I am getting a lot of stick for it. Just let us all see how this ends.

put a fork in it. / it’s done now

What :man_shrugging:

Badly Drone Boy, please remember that you asked the question and from what I see, you were getting a lot of people helping you to make sure it was not a scam. Up to this point, time will tell but if it was a scam and you lost your drone and no one helped that is different. No one was giving you stick, in fact I saw people helping you (which is what I think you wanted in the first place). Do not like bringing up the past but in a previous thread where you were attacking people saying you do not like being part of a group, if you ask a question to a group then expect to be replies. Some you will like and some you will not like. Just make sure you understand that here, people were trying to help you and you gotta admit, it did look dodgy and probably to yourself to make you bring it up on here. No one asked you to justify DJI and in all honesty if this is all true then DJI should be the ones to be announcing this new venture, they have our contact details and could mailshot everyone saying “there is a new DJI repair centre for drones in the UK”, then people would be saying to you, we know about this, it is all good. DJI however have not done this so the responses you got were from people who wanted to help you not give you stick.

Have a think about if you want to be part of a community or not. Take the good with the bad but on this one, I just saw good. I really hope you get your drone back. Hopefully someone will tell me as I am muting this thread from notifications. I do hope that you find help in GADC but if you find that people give you stick and you would rather not be here, it is totally up to you.

Wish you all the best in getting your drone back. Good luck and remember when shooting, do not shoot at the allied.

All the best. Bye

It wouldn’t kill them, quick enough to mail everyone when a new product is coming out.
