Hi everybody,
Interested in getting into flying Drones. I never thought I would have the skill to fly one but having read a number of items on Drone flying I am willing to give it a try.
I am very much into photographing landscapes and wanting to expand into aerial shots. As yet I have not purchased a drone but have registered with the CAA. I look forward to reading other members topics on this subject and taking advice on the subject.
Regards
Chris

I was unsure about drones years ago after being awake during the shopping channel and buying some of the bad cheaper drones. Recently started buying and flying DJI and never looked back.
Welcome aboard to this great forum. You will be meeting a lot of great people here and if there is any help you need. Just shout out. Someone here will give you a hand.
Thanks Foley for the welcome aboard, DJI are at the top of my list so far. Looking forward to receiving all the advice from the members. Thanks again.

Hi, Welcome to the club. I got my drone last September so am fairly new to the hobby, and like you I am into photographing landscapes and wanted to get an aerial perspective.
Before deciding which drone to buy I watched loads of utube clips (there is advice on practically all things drone) and founds these really helpful when weighing up pros and cons. I also recommend you get onto the CAA’s drone rules website which clearly spells out the dos and don’t. If you go for a sub 250g drone, you won’t have to comply with a few of these rules.
I chose a DJI Mini 3 (not Pro), as for me that hit the sweet spot between capability and cost. If you can afford it, I’d go for the all-in-one DJI RC controller and get the flymore combo (which is good value).
I hope this helps, have fun!
