Hi Grant - re UAV Forecast, would you be kind enough to share the units that I need to become used to? Is Aviation metric, or totally Imperial, or a mix ( I can manage both, just unsure…) :innocent:

Thanks for that, all new stuff to me! :innocent:

Hi Steve, this 3wordaddress thing is new to me, is there an easy way to add it to a Sat Nav if I were to attend such a location? (Sorry to be so inexperienced in this stuff)

Hi Will
Either search for Stockley Road, Exhall

Or longitude and latitude coordinates

 Hopefully see you at the next meet. :+1: ATB Cookie

Hi. Welcome to the club.
Good to hear you mention the days of film. Although they are getting a little resurgence.
It made better photographers knowing you had the one shot, no previews or delete and retake.
Enjoy the learning curve and as already stated plenty of advice to be found here.

Hi Will,

I tried it in Google Maps, didn’t work
Personally I’m a fan of Lat/Long probably because my father taught me mapping from a very early age.

I fully agree with you about the commercial side.
I would like to go in that direction but it is too much for my old brain, so entertainment and pleasure is my goal.
If you are looking to buy a drone, do plenty of research, look at what people on here fly, look at youtube, there is stacks of advice.
Have a look at Captain Drone on youtube, he has some good advice.
There are some fine machines flown on this site with fabulous results, have a look at some of them and they will start to give you some idea.
