New pilot in Bedford

Hi everyone.

New drone owner and pilot here, living in Bedford. I just got a Mini 3 peo last week. After trying in out in a local (not crowded) park last week, I decided to take myself off to the seaside in Suffolk for the weekend to take a few photos and videos in a more picturesque setting. I was only really able to fly Friday and saturday evening, it was either raining or too windy at other times, but still I had a lot of fun.

Though I do get a little anxious when setting up and flying. Most probably due to my being on the autism spectrum, I really really don;t like drawing attention to myself, so I’m only flying when I can find a quiet spot to hide really. Anyway, I really loved flying it, and the quality of the videos it takes is just fantastic.

I also had a go at editing a video from various flights (not well, I admit… ) but I don;t think it;s too bad for a first attempt. I’ve definitely got a lot to learn though, but nobody is an expert at anything on the first attempt.

Looking forward to trawling through a lot of past posts here and learning from those of you that know a lot more than me

Oh and P.S. - my video, if anyone is interested in taking a look - feel free to give some well deserved criticism if you like, hehe

Great video.
Anxious ? Ha you were over the sea lots. Love the overhead straight down of the pier with a spin, (1m10s) nice.

Great shots - you should have a go at the treasure hunt competition.

Welcome.

Hi Marty and welcome to the club!!

As a first attempt, that’s really good… well done.
I am with you on being a bit anxious when setting up and flying. I try to fly early morning, when there are very few people about, and find that makes it a lot more enjoyable for me.
I hope you continue to enjoy your new hobby
