Hi there guys. New member here in Wareham, Dorset. Amateur drone flyer but really getting to grips with the flying. Flew a Mini 3 for a period of 3 weeks until I unfortunately sunk it after clipping the underside of a bridge. However, better invested in the Mini 4 Pro (obstactle avoidance) recently. Loving getting out there and taking great scenery shots too. Have been flying my drone around Purbeck mainly, however did manage to get it out in Scotland too before I sunk the Mini 3 (fortunately I managed to download these shots prior to the incident).

You mean, literally? 
Yea u went and did the NC500 but couldn’t get the drone out until the last day. I got home downloaded the footage. Few days after I got back I took a comment on Facebook and attempted the fly under a bridge. Did it so many times before realising I hadn’t hit record, just changed mode. Went for another pass and it clipped the underside of the bridge and went into the water. Jumped in after it, but water was too deep to recover it.

I’ve yet to get the video as I’ve yet to find the drone. Need to get down with low tide, but chances are it’s been swept out. This was the last the controller saw

Hi @vrsdazitup Darren and welcome. I am in your area, I live in Bournemouth. Purbeck is beautiful and the extent of NT owned land round there is very frustrating isn’t it? Have you had a go with your drone at Corfe yet?
No not as yet, but it is on one of my to do itineries. Hoping to do a day and a night run from the hill behind the castle So hopefully will get it during the day, and illuminated at night. Fortunately my upgraded drone is the mini 4 pro so it’s got a light on it
