As half promised, more of the same from me, although with something a bit different at the end.
Love the sound effects Jez
Excellent video @Earwig Jez
Yeah they were cool
How the hell did I miss this? Although I did have a trip up to Surprise View where I could only achieve a very short flight as it was quite draughty up there. I did manage to break through above the turbulance to take a 360 picture but came down just as quick as I wasn’t too happy.
Loved the video Nicola, great fast steady flying and the super fast take-off looks as impressive as it did in real life. Have you ever did that in front of a very tall building?
Oh and a fun soundtrack.
Thank you Ian @Robinhood I am still a newbie but maybe in the near future I will pluck up the courage and do a dive down a building
After reading the replies since Sunday, it would appear that everyone enjoyed the day, which is great to hear / read.
I’ll have to organise another.
Will bring the new Illuminated GADC Gates to the next. They’d be perfectly at home on the remaining bit of the tarmac runway.
I can’t answer that, however if the weather hold out, I’ll organise another before winter sets in.
Would appreciate a pm. I can easily get lost in forums. Feacesbook leaves me cold at the prospect.
You are a member of @group-eastmidlands, perhaps @TheBinman would mention that group next time … and you’ll get a notification.
Can’t really expect people to remember all those that might want a PM, in fairness.
And - if you saw my post before I edited it - you’d realise that was all I thought was needed.
But apparently that doesn’t create a notification … only enables a search on the tag.
Apparently, we’ve both learnt, it needs to be the @ version within the post.
You know the saying -
Every days a school day
I’m waaaaaay to old for school … or uni … or anything “learny”.
Personally, I’ve got a first post watch on the Meetups category so I always get a notification when a new one is started. I don’t care about most of them, but it does mean I’m less likely to miss one I am interested in.
Finally got the balls to try full manual. Even though i was pants and binned it in the grass i came away with a huge grin. Lots to learn and why did i not get warned that the wind is the enemy when in manual.
If we have another Nottingham meet i am going to fly manual only so watch out for fly aways
It takes a little getting used to, Paul @360_FPV.
I’ve been back there this morning for a couple of hours, until I started to feel the cold, to get some practice in myself.
There were a couple of guys with RC planes, where we sat last week, so I set up elsewhere and flew both the Neo & Avata 2 in manual mode to get some practice in.
Chased a few dirt bikes and hovered around catching the RC planes.
Whilst there, also noticed a dirt track, which is passable in a car or van, which takes you straight to the area / old runway. So it saves people having to carry all their bags of drone gear.
Today I flew from the pointer marked with the purple X, the orange line if the dirt track that’s accessible with a car and the red pin is where we flew from last weekend.
Thats awsome pal
Could rock up with van and tea making gear
Ull have to let me know when your going again and ill join you. My Daughter has just purchased goggles and FPV controller ready fr when she gets her drone or nicks mine
