Greenham common old airbase a lot of it is now used to store new vechiles ( compound ) , Vw - Skoda - Audi and many other makes , they also have workshops there , 2 of my vw’s went there on a recall / repair , my mother worked there when it was an airbase many years ago which if I can remember right is where she met my father , it was run by a lot of Americans my mum used to work the canteen , memory’s a bit vague useless info I know but I thought I’d share !
Edit : again bit vague but if I can remember right , when I was talking to the Vw pre delivery inspection guy I’m sure he said the railway line still runs threw there which is how they transport the vechiles there , I’m pretty sure .

Not seen any rail tracks in my visits yet but it’s definitely a big area
