Think after the birthday challenge there was a case of overthinking RTFs. No doubt some of the below have been done before but it’s stuff that’s generally easy to find and enjoyable and generally makes a good photo.

There are a couple of your otherwise suggestions that we think we ought to disregard, Steve,
Emergency service vehicle with blue lights - there is a lot of adverse publicity when people fly drones near the sort of situations that involve emergency vehicles with blues working.
Religious retreat - we can foresee objections from those on the retreat that their sought after peace and quiet is somewhat disturbed.
From underneath. Intriguing. Presumably with ther aircraft upside down, flying on its back. Or maybe a camera looking straight up. It may not be easy for the majority of flyers!

Or looking out from under a bridge which would not be accessible without a drone?
Blue light vehicle could be one on route?
Religeous retreat for example
These were my thinking behind my suggestions
Also is it meant to be easy? Wio Doesn’t like to challenge themselves?

Agreed.
Although the level of difficulty may prove excessive for some subjects.
Blue light vehicles on the way to an incident could be fair game of course. What better way to entice them than to phone in a report of a peeping tom flying a drone around an area looking into peoples bedroom windows? So that is an easy one
The retreat example you show. What height is the map showing for the camera? Seems rather more than 400 feet. We still feel that respect needs to be shown to people who have actively sought out peace and quiet, not just for their sake but also as to not attract bad press for our hobby. But then the process of having three options to be voted on may mean that the majority behave with consideration and the subject of Religious Retreats fails to become the competition selection.
Looking out from a bridge is a possibility, our immediate reaction is that under the arch of a large bridge can be a good place to lose a radio signal. RTH activating under bridges can prove problematical depending on the RTH height set, But again, the cautious majority may prevail when voting.
We will throw all your suggestions into the mix, it’s up to those who are competing (or malcontents who want to make things difficult ) to vote for them!

Those with asterisks are seasonal so the randomiser will ignore those when it is not possible to find the subjects
We have decided that we can keep previously selected subjects in the list as no one seems to mind. Ay least, that is, that we have had no complaints that the current competition - Moving Water - was run in November 2020!

Can we add fireworks. As it seems these days if you fart someone will celebrate with fireworks. So no longer a need to wait for November.
Morecambe have some tonight.
We have spent the last few days tidying and re0rking the card indices and transferring the data to Hollerith punch cards. Fireworks will be added in the next round of updates. Meanwhile you will have to wait for Nightshots or similar to come round again if you wish to submit pictures of pet scarers and PTSD awakeners.
I would perhaps suggest if something ends up in the options but gets not a single vote, it gets removed from the randomiser so they don’t come up again if they are unpopular.

That’s a possibility although it hasn’t come up yet. We may have to judge individual cases. Watch this space …
