Im finding almost every time I fly I get a problem with my left thumb being shakey, right thumb is rock solid, really makes panning shots difficult, has anyone else had this and if so what did you do to beat it?
Ps I found flying without a stick on the left controller stops the problem but I don’t like the reduced range of motion that way
I’m another that flies without the sticks, I feel I get much more control. I changed the expo settings using Ian in London’s youtube videos until I got the movement I felt was right.
Try pinching the sticks with your thumb and finger instead of just resting your thumb on the top. Might take some practice to get used to but your thumb wont be as stretched out and it might help with what youre experiencing.
@Jockinwales when i use the n1 rc i dont put any sticks on either side anymore. If feel it gives me alot more precision. But it depends on what your filming. If your trying to film short close up maneuvers its ideal. Ive got footage back on my computer and it looks like slow motion footage. If your tryino acheive a video thats a constant flow or continuous cinematic film thats longer in length with no edits, then keeping the sticks on might be better for that.
Have you tried it in Cine mode? You can also wind down the rotation speed per mode, along with the aforementioned expo settings.
I have the same problem due to carpal tunnel syndrome which was operated on a few years ago but still leaves the shakes. I’ve been building stuff and flying for over 15 yrs using thumb technique but I use the pinch method now and it helps a lot. And dialling in expo as previously mentioned.
