So... what's on your bench at the moment?

F405 AIO???

If so, it’s the same one I’ve finished installing in the 3.5"

Quite like the Bluetooth connection to Speedybee’s app (Betaflight), easy enough to use on a smart phone.

Yes. Nice bit of kit. Tiny pads though. Haven’t tried the BlueTooth thing yet.

Another day, another mended quad? What’s going on?

Also, what idiot flight tests a 5-inch in their living room?

At the risk of attracting a jinx, everything that could be flying is now flying. :grimacing: I’ll just have to not touch anything fo a couple of weeks.

Oh, I do need to find a buzzer for the Nazgul. I used to have loads of them knocking about but I’ll be buggered if I can find any now. I need to have a stock-take and a clear out.

Until you get to the BM field and the DJI radiation cloud engulfs you :scream:

Thanks to my new Avata 2, I’m now a contributor to the problem.

On the plus side, I may have something that will stay in the air for more than 30 seconds.

That’s a brilliant name for it

If we could visualise it, I’m guessing it’d look something like this:

It is not going to fly very far like this though :innocent:

It will cover a fair bit of distance, if this was used though.

Can I ask a newbie build question @Cedric ?

Why is there bracing across two of the sides, but not the other two sides?

I take it that’s to reduce flexing?

Would it not benefit from bracing on the other two sides as well?

My guess is this is already a very heavy/stiff/strong frame design as it is and extra braces may offer little extra rigidity so did not make the cut (those arms are 8mm thick so not light)

This is a design choice tbh - I also love another frame which has braces on each side and is also super solid (took something like hitting 20 gates with it to break a piece of it )
