Thx for the reply.
Might give t a go on mine and see how it fares. As of now, Betafpv has no support for elrs v3 for my FC and its keeping me from upgrading my TX to it. If quicksilver already has it, then this would solve my situation.
Just have to dig around to see if my specific fc is supported as well, I saw a list on their github, but from the names they used for the targets I can’t be sure which one it could be.
For fc target ask on their discord channel. They’re very helpful!
Also when you get the 3d model of the quad, it is normal that the pitch and roll works but the yaw does not.
Had done just that… I have the target confirmed, now its up to take the chance.
Ok Im loosing the plot at the moment, everything firing up nice on the firefly and my controller connects to my Vista but not my goggles hence just want to check im on the right track with the wiring. Below is what I have hence would I be right thinking Uart 3 for msp and Uart5 for Rx
That said Iv also just discovered my goggles wont pair ![]()
Correct
What do you mean? You cant see video at all or you cant see OSD? The video side will be the link between your goggles and vista, the OSD side will be the link between your visat and the fc. Theyre both completely seperate.
I dont use the DJI FPV controller that you use but I do know that when binding to the goggles it has to be done in a specific order
Iv got no video at all just wont to bind the goggles.
Yet I get a green light on the controller is as both and vista.
My Flysky i6x now supports ExpressLRS. ![]()
A £20 Jumper AION Nano. 500mW. Actually more powerful than the ones on our Jumper T-Lites.
Iv seen on YT someone retrofit one to a DJI controller must say I was tempted
I’m not overly impressed with those Lipos. The ones I have seem to sag massively to the point at which I get maybe 2 mins of flight time. I think I will be abandoning 1S anything very soon. 2S all the way for me.
What was supposed to be an evening of flying my new mobula6 has been an evening of frustration.
No matter what I do, I cannot bind my controller (Literadio 3) to the drone… but as it’s my first proper drone, I have no idea if it’s me, the controller or the drone.
ELRS… I’ve tried manual binding, binding phrase, changing the packet rates… nothing. Not a peep or an indicator that they are even attempting to talk. Very frustrating!
What version of elrs are you trying? What FC firmware?
Thats odd. I’ve done three flights so far with these. Around 7 mins with each.
One reason its only 3 flights is because they’re so long!
I had heard these batteries were not great, but so far thats just not been the case.
Are you using exactly these batteries? Same shape, mAh, connector?
So after more digging… It was a very late one last night, it seems that due to all the component changes, the base ELRS version is v3, even though it ships with BF 4.31… and the Literadio 3 last update was over a year ago introducing ELRS V2…
I have tried many versions of the CRAZYBEEF4SA1280, including the earliest in betaflight, which is 4.21, but no dice.
… So I ordered a Radiomaster TX12. Sadly, the ELRS Boxers and Zorro’s were all out of stock, so I settled on the TX12 ![]()
You need a BF firmware that supports ELRS V3. I suggest going with the newly released 4.4.0 version. You’ll need BF Configurator 1.9.0
The only other version with ELRS 3.0 is the special BF 4.3.1 custom version with ELRS v3.0 support. It’s on Happy model’s site here. CRAZYBEEF4SX1280 4.3.1 support ExpressLRS V3.0 beta version firmware download – Happymodel
However it’ll be a lot easier just using BF 4.4.0
Edit: I did just read your post again? Do you have ELRS 2 or 3 on your Tx?
Edit: another choice is to go with Quicksilver. Version 0.9.5 introduced ELRS 3.0 support. Before that it was ELRS V2.0
I have a few of these batteries since April/May 22, and never had a problem with them. But ever since the cold weather kicked in they are sagging quite a bit, but I manage to still getting over 3 minutes by flying them until 3 volts, they move up to around 3.6 after I unplug them and let them rest. For reference, I would get between 4-5 before.
My other batteries (GNB and TheFPV) do not have this problem under the same flying conditions. So I reckon Betafpvl batteries are not that good compared to the others. Unless this could be attributed to their C ratings, which the betafpvs are lower than the others and if that’s a thing, it could explain whats happening.
I only fly 1S inside (at the moment). We’ll see what they are like outside. Though I expect I won’t fly them in the cold.
I’ve flown them on the underground carpark mostly, but did a few flights outside with them as well and some inside the flat. They performed equally on all conditions (a lot of sag). I’ve been flying the other batteries outside and they are working just like they did before.
Can you use ELRS 2 with BF 4.4? Or the new quicksilver with ELRS2? Slightly annoying I guess that RX firmware tied to FC firmware, but then again I only have 1… or is it two SPI ELRS FC’s. Not yet gone to 3… Think it’s time to get on that bandwagon, and get 4.4 for that quad
This tomorrow the day I look at it all again!
That’s something I’ve actually noticed less than with my other batteries! They stay at around 4.2 volts for longer and there’s been hardly any bounce-back.
I have no idea why they’ve been like they have! It is confusing me.
