Anyone know of a UK source for the typical 3D printed Strobon Cree standalone holders to fit the arms of a Mavic 3?
All my leads end up with US sourced gear with high shipping costs.
Maybe here?
I thought about getting them printed but I haven’t got the STL design files for a Mavic 3. I’m surprised there isn’t more demand as the Mavic 3 has been out a while and now there’s the Classic and the Pro models as well.
There’s several of us that can do a “design & print” service, given appropriate measurements. A lot of the time I’ll get most of the way through the CAD work before it occurs to me to see if there’s one already on Thingiverse.
I checked Thingiverse but there’s nothing for the Mavic 3. I am wondering if the arm dimensions of the Mavic 3 are the same as the Mavic 2. Pro. Alternatively I have a pair of spare mounts for the Mini 2. I may just adapt them using a Dremel to cut the arm mount clip then use some glue and Velcro strips to change them to a Velcro tape fastening around the arms of the Mavic 3. It would work and wouldn’t involve doing anything to the arms of the drone. I’m buggered if I’m going to pay £18 shipping on 2 bits of plastic costing £15. I can buy a spare propeller set for that.
I’m sure this is the argument that has fuelled many a £500+ 3D printer purchase.
Would certainly love them for the Mavic 3 Pro
Not sure of the ams are the same dimensions - never like to assume
I’d ask James Hitzone Mods on Facebook, I know he does them quite cheaply for the Mini 2, if he can’t supply some you want, I’m sure he could give you some pointers.
My downward facing holders from my Mavic 2 Pro fit on my Mavic 3. I got them from Andrew @ash2020 though unsure if he still sells them or not, couldn’t find his eBay link.
Thanks John. Here they are
I’m working on some ATM but sadly I haven’t got a Mavic 3 of my own. I don’t suppose there’s anyone near Salisbury that would like some free ones in return for an hour’s loan of their precious.

And the rest. My latest cost me ÂŁ1,500!
I am near Taunton so not a million miles away.
Hey thanks Ian, that might work.
I’ve decided to “borrow” a Mavic 3 from Amazon so I’ll have some clips by Mon or Tues.
@ash2020 Brilliant!!!
Let me know as soon as your ebay site is updated to select Mavic 3 option and I will be ordering 2 pairs (4 mounts) for back arms LED rear facing.
The money saved on extortionate USA shipping and inflated plastic prices will mean you have saved purchasers more than the cost of the GADC annual membership fee. So a huge thank you from me for your GADC community spirit - I hope the GADC mods give you a community spirit badge. Seriously…
@ash2020 is not affiliated with Grey Arrows Drone Club.
All of Andrew’s eBay sales are his own personal venture.
Just placed an order - thank you for getting these done so quickly
That’s absolutely correct, no affiliation. Unfortunately, when I was originally pricing them, I didn’t build in enough profit margin for any GADC discount.
However, now I am offering a 10% discount for GADC members if you mention it with the order.
They are now available for the Mavic 3, front or rear, back facing or down facing.
Thank you @amitlathia
