TBS Tango II Pro crossfire remote

Well managed to get the Tango2 up and running :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Just have 1 question and 1 problem now.

I’m not getting any OSD ion my goggles now iv set everything up as norm and even my RSSI so I can see my signal strength but nothing ???

The other is my VTX signal, when I’m in a straight line I get full signal for as far as I can go. But if I go off to either side the signal drops off dramatically, do you think this is a antenna issue as its close to my crossfire antenna??..

Is it something I should have switched on in my goggles as rinsed YT and cant find anything???.

Hello mate.

Do you have it switched on in beta flight?

Yah I did mate thing is it’s the same on both quads that I’ve fitted crossfire to??? That’s why I wounded if I’d missed something when setting up the tango2 ???

Also look up OSD and MSP settings for DJI. :+1:t2:

Cheers Dean will have a watch later with. Cuppa👍🏼

Ok watch the JB vid and a little confusing  but doable, I also found the below but was wondering about the MSP as I dont have mine turned as Im sure in the crossfire tutorial I followed it said to turn it off. Would this be right ??? and if I turn it on and follow the below would that give me full OSD ???

I’d follow the WTF OS setup and turn on MSP in the ports tab to what ever uart you’re using for the vista/air unit.

uart1 is my OSD on my babycroc.

Also make sure you’ve got OSD turned on in the config tab.

:+1:t2:

I think the newer version of betaflight firmware might make it even easier by having a WTF OS drop down on the ports tab maybe I’m not 100% on that though.

Mate can’t believe I’ve had to jump through so many hoops just because I wanted a bloody smaller controller :man_facepalming:t2::rofl:

worth it though! the HD OSD is pure fire! :fire:

Not sure if it makes a difference but I removed my Sbus cable out when I wired in my crossfire??

nope only 4 wires needed, power and ground and the TX and RX to the uart :+1:t2:

Ok got the goggles rooted but the vista which is supposed to be the easy part not so much… + her in doors is moaning as im using her hair dryer to cool the vista

I rooted me vista but and put WTF on it but when linked I never got the installer tab :man_shrugging:t3: if im right I just have to then click on the package to upload job done … 18:22sec

What what? Hair dryer? Cool? Lol…

(I know it likely has a cold air setting, but made me laugh)

Bloody hell iv got one up and running  the goggles were a doddle but the vista soddin nightmare.

At one point I was just going round in circles rooting the vista putting WTF on it, but when u tried to add the packet it said u needed to root it :exploding_head:

Not sure what extra I get ???

on the 1st vista I add the 2 lines of code that JB explained, something to do with the screen size??

I’m thinking that’s why it didn’t show up on that 1 hence is there a way of taking it out?? …

If you’re rooted and have WTF OS running on your goggles and vistas/air units just download the fonts and stick um on the goggles SD card at the root.

thats the easiest way of doing it. you can add them into the hard code of WTF OS but thats more complicated.

Just watched that and downloaded the super sneaky fonts :sunglasses: gunna bob them on a card and try later. Dying to try it all out now its working, thing is everything is under 6inches of water round here some dont fancy coming down in that

Thanks for the help on this one Dean, I think Ill get everything up and running rooted and so on before I purchase anymore crossfires :+1:t3: Once these are all sorted got another project in mind in up cycling my other Nazgul… something different like the below that I can fit 2207 and a 30mm stack in, bloody expensive frame though :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Iv got to stop looking at shit Ill be living out of a cardboard box under a motorway somewhere

These are nice frames though

One of these bad boys with an 03 unit in it which I could now do as I use crossfire
