I’m going to Fuerteventura in November and I’ve been wondering what I would need to do so I could fly a Mini 4 Pro there. Sounds like the answer might be ‘more than is worth it on what is supposed to be a relaxing holiday’. However for another time it also sounds viable and it’s good to know that the authorities are helpful.
Hope the wind drops ;o)
Same rules that apply for Tenerife and all of Spain
Sigh up using the Irish site mysrs. It’s much easier. Although it did work out expensive for the EU Flyer ID and the Operaters licence. I also found the online training much harder than the UK one. And then simply study the Spanish Laws when it comes to flying in Spain also when you arrive speak with the local police that helped me massively. enjoy your drone flying in Spain.
The winds here in Purto de la Cruz have been high hence I been driving around the less windy areas of the island.
An alternative for the European Flyer ID is to use the site I used …. In Luxembourg, it’s in English and it’s free
Several folk on here have used it successfully
It’s time for my first question…
I’m heading off to Tenerife at the end of June. Hoping to take my mini 4 pro with me. I’ve looked online and generally in the south west (Los Giganties) there’s no restrictions over and above the standard restrictions (height etc), and the local restrictions of no flying in national parks.
I’m getting mixed information about needing to register with the Spanish authorities for my drone. Is anyone able to clarify for me please? (Mini 4 pro sub 250g)
Worst case I’ll leave it at home and take my Insta360 X3 and my 3m selfie stick and fake some low drone shots lol. As you’ll see from the screenshots, I’m just outside of any major areas and NOTAMS.
Many thanks in advance.
