This hotel in North Queensferry has been closed for over 10 years; the picture was going to be entered in one of the fortnightly RTF Drone Photo Challenges. It didn’t get posted though - the subject was “Derelict” and the image was deemed not derelict enough. As you can see, North Queensferry is home to one end of the world-famous Forth railway Bridge.

Picture and video by Patrick Ford - @Nikonitis - who has committed a heinous sin by placing an iPhone 11 image in the Photos by Drone category then compounded it by sticking a video in there too! :slight_smile: He’s forgiven; the video documents with camera and drone his early morning ascent of Cadair Idris on a glorious morning last April.

Grade 1 listed Ogmore Castle is east of Ogmore-by-Sea, and south of the town of Bridgend. It is situated just to the east of the confluence of the Ewenny and Ogmore Rivers. Its construction might have begun ias early as 1106.

Stuart braved the -3 degree temperature on the second day of January to capture this image.

113 hectares of agricultural land near Drax power station that will soon be under glass when the UK’s largest solar farm is built. It will dwarf the village of Camblesforth, coming close to the buildings on the western edge. The backup battery bank alone is bigger than the entire built up area.

The Italian gardens in Stanley Park, Blackpool during golden hour on a frosty winter’s afternoon (January 10th, 16:18). A winning entry for the RTF Patterns Challenge. which produced two thirds, three seconds and two firsts!
