It’s a GIF video (animation - moving image) - not a GIF still, though.
Alignment then … in PS … before GIFfing.
It was aligned in PS before GIFing the FEFing photos
Not very well, then … the land is “twitching” about. LOL!
PS … add all images as layers … Edit > Align Layers > Crop > Export Layers to PNG > Automate > Covert to JPG > Upload to Ezgif > tada.
I know how to do in PS
… still twitching, though.
[Gets in car … drives to Eastleigh]
This vid was constructed from daily pics that were never even planned to be a video.
Taken each day by hand with no real attempt at alignment (it wasn’t going to be a video - no need). Alignment and colour matching done in PS.
That is a video (from photos), not a GIF, and using transitions. If I were to use Premiere Pro, I could achieve the same. But I just wanted to make a GIF … because it’s easier
The alignment is what I was really pointing at (if you just look at the wood grain) - I could make a gif from the images where twitching was almost zero … and that’s with a camera in a totally different position each day.
It’s a very well made video, Dave. And it has lots of static geometry to help alignment from 1 foot away. It’s a little harder from 400 feet in the wind with only one real constant … the horizon.
I shall try harder next time
Less change in perspective. There are houses etc that it should be able to lock onto.
A quickie GIF of just the wood aligned and straight off the original pics - no colour processing. (just 20 images - not the original 50+)
Incidentally - did you know you can make the GIF direct from PS? (as I just did).
Main “movements” are lighting - brightness and direction - and the restart of the loop. And it’s a very zoomed in crop.
Here’s another GIF for you Dave
It’s ok it was helpful for me
Alternatively …
… can be reduced to Edit > Align Layers > Crop > Export GIF, to speed things up.
This time, I tried harder …
I took a series of 25 photos with the Mini 2 at 30 second intervals at about 4.30pm today.
I still used the same process (align layers > crop) but used the Timeline window in PS, then Export GIF.
HYPERGIF … GIFLAPSE …
Thanks Dave, never even considered whether PS could produce a GIF
Hopefully this is more on par with the quality of GIFmanship that I failed to provide earlier
Noted, but I need the aligned stills as I’m making a proper video timelapse, not a GIF in my case.
That’s rather good!
You can also export the aligned layers as a video from PS.
Limited manipulation, obviously, and the fading transitions that I used in my bee nest one would be impossible.
But it’s from the same Timeline window.
